I shot up from my bed panting heavily, sweat dripping front my forehead. I clutched my chest my chest in panic attempting to regain breath. From the quick movements my head began to spin and my sight was blurred.

My head dropped between my hands as I reminisced the awful nightmare that made my skin crawl with fear. The castle had been raided by evil creatures, torturing foes in every corner. They destroyed and lit everything they saw on fire. I couldn't move as I had to witness everyone I loved die before my naked eyes, everyone. Cair Paravel lost power and crumbled to the ground, just as the hag previously envisioned.

It tore my heart to shreds watching everything fade away like it was nothing. In fear of countless losses and destruction I leaped from my bed and confirmed a plan in my head. I was going to leave, run away. I cared to much for the safety of my people, and my loved ones. A queen always had make sacfrices in order for peace to endure. And this was my sacfrice. I knew that the Pevensie's would never reconcile my decision, especially Edmund, but I hoped they'd comprehend why I had to leave. I turned to glimpse at the my gorgeous fiancé who was previously lying beside me in a peaceful slumber. I couldn't tell him about my departure, knowing him he definitely wouldn't allow me to leave. I couldn't tell anyone

A tear shed down my cheek as I moved towards Edmund's forehead and kissing it ever so slightly, "I love you Edmund, please forgive me. " I muttered. Edmund shifted around and had a small grin on his lips. I failed a smile as I reminisced all the memories we shared together. I advanced towards the door as silent as possible, but as I reached the door frame my hand halted me from progressing any further. C'mon Amelia do the right thing for you and yourself. Do not be afraid. Father's husky voice echoed through the tunnels of my mind.

And in one swift movement I swung the door open and raced out of the chamber, flourishing down the dark corridors like a shadow, unseen. The lonesome moon illuminated just enough light through in the clear, black sky. The spring breeze chilled my warm cheeks as I pursued to push against it. I finally entered my old and untouched chamberse. It still looked the same from the last time I was in there. I had abandoned the chamber once Edmund became my fiancè because I was no longer in need of a room. As swift as possible I rummaged through draws in search for old clothes and shoes and shoved them in a bag I managed to find. I then searched the room for travelling necessities such as an empty water flask, money and such. I recovered my lethal weapons Father Christmas had given me those several years ago and sighed once I had them in hand. It had been long since I had fought in battle, Andy he thought of it didn't exactly make me proud for being a killer. My bow and sword were still the same size, but they were perfect for my figure, being short and all.

It didn't take long to suit up in appropriate clothes for the ride ahead, I wore long, leather trousers, a white blouse, a fur coat and boots to restrain me from all the hazards of riding in a dress.

I marched over to my dusty vanity and lit a candle and began to write a letter. My hand shook as I took long strokes, but taking my time to write down my farewell

I do not know who will be reading this, but I know someone will find it long after I have gone. It has dawned on me that there is no way out of this without someone getting hurt. I'm sorry that I have left but it was the best thing to do for you, me and Narnia. I encourage you not to come looking for me, but just remember that I love you all. I hope one day we will we will meet again and troubles will be washed away.

P.S: Edmund if you are reading this, I am so sorry. I hope one day you'll find it one day to forgive me.
I love you.

~Amelia

Tears brimmed in my eyes. I am leaving all the ones I love. I am leaving the life that I love. I am leaving my home. But this is home. And I am leaving against my will. I Slowly I slid off my beautiful, silver engagement ring, the tears kept gushing as the ring edged closer to my finger tips.

"I am sorry," I chocked between tears. I carefully placed the note and the ring together on the vanity. I tied my black cloak on and made my way to a secret door. I lifted up the heavy curtain, revealing a small door that only a child could fit through. Opening the door, I fearfully walked in, treading down the long, spiral stairwell. Only Arwen and I knew of this secret passage. It was in case of emergencies when I was younger. My path led me to the stables, and there I found Alec. He began to panic at my hooded figure but I calmed him by stroking his long, grey neck.

"Shhh.... It's me," I whispered. Once I had put the saddle and reins on I jumped onto Alec and we rode off. Surprisingly none of the guards were in the courtyards, in fact no one was in sight, which was a relief. "Take me far away as possible," I commanded to Alec. And this only made him gallop faster.

Alec had been running for 4 days straight, and we were close to Archen River. But I think that is where our journey will end. I stroked Alec's mane, whispering for him to slow down. Once he did as he was ordered, I jumped off my Alec and felt my knees wobble. It had been to long since my feet had touch the earth, so my legs had become very weak after the past few days. And I have not eaten a thing ever since I had left Cair Paravel. My body had become scrawny and fragile, and I do not even know where I'm to spend the night.

The sky was twilight when I still was searching for a place to rest, but I had no luck. I could tell in Alec's eyes that he was exhausted but I knew was determined to travel further. When I thought I would never have been able to find a place, there stood a giant tree, a house that looked as if it was in the tree. They used to call something like that back in England. I remember it mentioned in a book.... Oh yeah! Tree house! It looked old and rugged, so I suspect that no one would be living in it. I drew nearer to the tree horse, but Alec suddenly halted.
I dismounted and tried observing the mysterious tree house that lay still. I gestured Alec to stay put and not move, he nodded in response. That may sound very odd but I had taught him how to answer back with a nod or shake. I took out my bow and arrow, ready to fire. I swiftly walked up the stairs, my eyes darting my surroundings. I could feel my pupils widen as adrenaline kicked in. I kicked down the door with all my might and searched the tree house with great speed. Luckily nothing and no one was around. And hopefully no one will return to this house from now on. That night I had found food, no water. But I had to go undercover to into small villages for food. And this is where my new life had started.

And well.... Only the future can decide now..........
