This chapter is very short... But I wanted another problem to take place...

I gazed at my reflection in the mirror, and I saw a 20 year old Amelia Kirke. Over the past 7 years, I have lived in Cair Paravel as High Queen of Narnia, alongside my best friends Queen Susan and Lucy, High King Peter and my fiancé King Edmund. Yes I am engaged to Edmund, and I couldn't be any happier! He proposed to me in March, it was now July and we planned to be married by the end of the year. Everyone was so delighted to hear of our engagement, but it was sad that father wasn't there to hear the wonderful news. Father still hadn't returned after he left on the coronation day, but I can still here is echoing inside my head, helping me to be the queen Narnia needed.

My life in Cair Paravel was never really very ordinary and plain. One day I could be out in the courtyards sword fighting, or travelling to important businesses, or going into the woods healing animals. I couldn't spend my whole life in a castle; it would be too dull and boring.

***

I rode on my horse heading towards the forest of Owlwood. I thought it would be nice to escape the castle for today, after dealing with important businesses about some of the remaining followers of the White Witch causing trouble. The weather had been miserable, the rain just hadn't stopped all week! But it was a reminder of my old home back in England.

The murky woodland overtook my surroundings and as I travelled deeper into the mysterious forest it become darker and darker. The cold breeze shivered up my arm, causing goosebumps to slither across it. The temperature dropped, and my breathing became quicker and heavier by the second. I closed my eyes and began to concentrate on the creepy atmosphere. This forest wasn't good... It was full of evil... Full of darkness, I could feel it in the water... I felt it in the earth... I smelt it in the air.

There was an abundance of hatred in this forest; I can feel it in my bones. Shit I didn't even bring any weapons! Great! Good on you Amelia, the one time you leave the castle and you forget your weapons and you just happen to be in a strange forest!

Suddenly a twig snapped from behind and then the sound of heavy breathing and crunching leaves on the earth below. My heart pounded as I was unarmed. How could I be so foolish to not bring any weapons?! Not even a dagger! I turned to my side and witnessed a horrific looking female hag advancing right towards me with great speed. Before I could even take off the hag lunged herself at me and tackled me to the ground.

"How dare you even to pass the boarders of my land!" It sneered in an ugly, croaky tone.

"Please, I did not know. Now get off your Queen before-" I shouted. I tried to lift her hefty weight off of mine, but she wouldn't budge.

"Before you what? You are far away from home little one," She spat.

"Leave hag!" I commanded. The pressure on my body began to feel heavier, making it hard to breathe.

"Your little friends at the kingdom destroyed my kin, and it's my turn to kill yours. I have powers that no one can possess. And once I take away your love, I will take over Narnia," her words were of venom. "From what I hear you are the one keeping the peace to Narnia. If you leave Cair Paravel, never return, I will leave you and your scum in peace. Otherwise you and your kingdom will fall!" And with that she jumped off me and ran away like a flash of lightening. I jumped up from the ground clutching my chest in fright and the fact that I was trying to control my breathing.

I thought she had finally disappeared, but I was completely wrong, she sneaked up behind me and powerfully punched me in the back, making me fall to my knees. I cried out an ear-piercing scream in as I could feel multiple of my bones crushing in my back. "But you mustn't speak of this to anyone. I am always watching you. You're time starts now little girl." I tried gasping for air, but it was so difficult. It felt like a gigantic elephant was sitting on my chest and crushing my lungs.

"ALEC!" I called, weakly for my horse. Alec came running to my side and kneeled onto the ground. I grabbed onto the reins and weakly pulled myself onto Alec.

"Take me home." I whispered into Alec's ear. He neighed in reply and dashed off to Cair Paravel.

After for what seemed like a thousand years we finally made it to the gates to enter Cair Paravel, and I was growing frail very quickly, my breathing had quickened and it was difficult to keep my body stable on Alec.

"Who goes there?" Asked a guard.

"Amelia is that you?" called Orieus.

"Please take me to the healing room immediately, I have been wounded." I managed to get out. Orieus rushed to my aid picking me up carefully off Alec. I felt another crack in my back, and shrieked in pain.

"Please forgive me," Orieus apologized anxiously. He carried up to the healing room, setting me on a bed. "I will send out the finest men to find your flower, Amelia. And I will go and inform the Kings and Queens."

"Thank you, dear friend." I said. I felt my eyes get heavy and darkness took over my body.

I woke up in the early morning, and I felt something warm next to my body. My eyes fluttered open to the sight of Ed sleeping silently beside me, his firm chest rising and falling. I smiled, running my hand through his hair. I tried slipping out of bed but Ed's grip around my waist only tightened. His eyes opened, revealing those big, gorgeous brown eyes, that I had fallen in love with.

"Morning beautiful," His husky morning voice made me melt, I could never get used to that voice. I grinned happily, but it soon faded as last night's events came into my head. I had to leave Cair Paravel, "Is everything alright Amelia?" Edmund questioned.

"Yes, your holding me too tight, that I can't breathe." I lied, jokingly.

"I'm sowwy," Edmund pouted like a little child. "Forgive me?" I pecked him on the lips.

"Does that answer your question?" I asked.

"No... I need more answers," Edmund joked, puckering his lips.

"Nope, not now. I am hungry." I teased smirking. I sat up only to feel burning agony pierce into my back. I winced. Edmund sat up quickly and put his arm around my waist for support.

"You haven't fully healed Amelia." Edmund said, cautiously.

"How long was I out for." I asked, anxiously.

"Two days," he replied. "The healer said that you will be fully healed in a few hours, so I suggest you get a little more rest before you eat,"

"Fine." I huffed, lying slowly back down onto the bed. And once again I fell back into a deep sleep.
