The past a week or so were spent with the Pevensie's were very chaotic. Surprisingly the sun had taken over depressing weather, so the Pevensie's and I were outside for most of the time. We chased each other around on the fields, played other fun games and I even taught Lucy to ride a horse! But unfortunately, today the sun was defeated by pouring raining. The five of us were gathered in the lounge area, trying to occupy the day.
Peter and Susan were playing some word guessing game that I wasn't paying attention to- Edmund was carving something on the bottom of a chair, which I specifically asked him not too, obviously he didn't give a care. Lucy and I sat upon the window sill, watching the rain tap on the clear glass.
"Gastrovascular," Susan read from the book. "C'mon Peter, gostrovascular." gastrovasular... Sounds very familiar... Italain? Spanish, no.... Latin!
"Was it Latin?" Peter asked, boredly.
"Yes," replied Susan. I'm right! I guess learning Latin does come in handy sometimes.
"Is it Latin for, worst game ever invented?" Edmund joked, with a smirk. Peter and I chuckled at his little remark. Susan took none of it and slamed the book shut in frustration, huffing loudly.
"We could play hide n' seek?" Lucy recommended, jumping up from her seat.
"But we're already having so much fun," Peter replied, sarcastically. Susan rolled her eyes, giving Peter a nasty glare.
"C'mon Peter please, Pretty please?" begged Lucy with a pout. Oh God please say yes, I'm going to die of boredom if we don't play (note the sarcasm)!
"1, 2, 3, 4-" Peter started with a smile tugging at his lips. I giggled as I ran out of the room already feeling the burst of excitement. I ran through the halls quietly, so Mrs. Macready wouldn't catch me, again.
Running up and down stairs, I searched for places to hide. Then it hit me, the kitchen. This was one (out of the many) great places to hide! Opening one of the cupboards, I slipped in trying not to knock any pans or pots over. Closing the door, I sat inside for a minute or so, praying that Peter wouldn't find me. Lucky I was small enough to fit in such a cramped space. These past few days i have had the time of my life! I have never laughed, and had this much excitement since the children next door moved away a few years back.
I tried to control my excitement so giggles were bursting. Before the door swung open revealing Peter with a big grin on his face. DAMN IT!
"What?! How?!" I stuttered, surprise, slipping out of the cupboard. I thought this was supposed to be a good spot?
"You might want to control those giggles of yours next time." He chuckled. Duh! I shook my head in my hands, in embarrassment and Peter laughed even more. We walked up the stairs into one of the hall ways looking around warily.
"IT'S ALL RIGHT! I'M BACK! IT'S ALRIGHT" I heard Lucy shout. I followed behind Peter turn a corner and found Edmund stomping out behind the curtain huffing loudly. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. What in the world is Lucy going on about?
"You know, I'm not sure if you two have got quite the idea of this game," Peter told.
"Weren't you wondering where I was?" Lucy questioned bewildered. Okay this is getting a little confusing.
"That's the point. That's why he was seeking you!" Edmund remarked trying to state the obvious. The time the Pevensie's have spent at the manor I have noticed that Edmund likes to bother Lucy a lot. Of course siblings don't get on all the time but he does it constantly which is upsetting to watch.
