Jett set me gently down on his couch and kneeled down next to me. "Who did this to you?" He asked, his eyes still a vibrant electric blue. "A jock. He came up after I got my stuff from my locker." I said. I stopped and thought for a moment if I should tell him about my arms. Well it looks like I didn't need to because when I looked back up I saw eyes had traveled down to my arms. Jett wordlessly got up and left the room for a moment and came back with some first aid stuff. " I don't need to know why. Only that you'll promise to stop." He said is he knelt back down next to me. "I'll stop. I promise." I told him. "Ok that's all I need to know. Now this might sting but it shouldn't hurt too much." Jett said as he wiped a cotton ball, with hydrogen peroxide on it, across my arm. It stung a little but I was so used to pain that I didn't feel it. "Your eyes." I mumbled to myself more than Jett. "They changed color. Could it be?" He thankfully didn't hear me and when he was done I wanted to show him my wings. My eyes changed to a darker blue, the color they changed when I thought about my past. Dark blue reflects sadness. I took a deep breath and stood up slowly and spoke. "Can I show you something? You must promise not to tell anybody." "Of course you can show me something and yes I promise I won't tell anybody." He said rather calmly. I took the necklace I was wearing off from around my neck and my ombre green wings stretched out. I flapped them a bit for extra effect. "I knew it. I knew you were angel from the moment I saw you." Jett said. He removed his dog tag necklace and a set of ombre blue wings stretched out. "My parents died two years ago. From a natural death they said. I didn't believe them. I knew they had been murder." Jett said. "Same thing for me except mine died a year ago. And I think you and I both know what really happened and who really killed them." I spoke. "The angeli cattivi." We both said at the same time. I suddenly remembered something and I frowned. "I lost my job awhile back and soon I'm being kicked out of the house. Can I stay at your place please?" I said with a small smile."Of course. We angels must help each other." We both placed our necklaces back on and our wings went back in. "Well why don't we get the stuff from your house and bring it back here shall we?" Jett said with a small laugh. "We shall." I responded. Maybe this year wasn't going to be bad at all.
