Chapter 14

Beetee was right , Uncle Gale does need to help us , in fact we need anyone that could help us. I really cant last even a day with my brother by my side , he was gone for almost a month I thought this process was going to go fast but looks like its not , Beetee's been working on the arrows that mum and I are using I guess it is hard to create arrows that blows stuff up and set it to fire. I just want my brother back , that's all I can ask for. "Wait! , go back to that channel!" mum and I were watching the tv and I saw a channel with Aloe on ,

Casear Flickerman was on the TV Interviewing Aloe , I could see the pain he was feeling in his eyes and body posture , the make up on his face didn't looks so convincing that nothing happened to him , I could see the red scars he had along the bottom of his eye , how can they do this to the 11 year old plus he had to spend it in their fun and games while he suffer the pain they put directly at him.

"Aloe , how does it feel to be one of the four victors this year?" Casear asked Aloe I could see him preparing.

"Well , its great , I have adoring fans now , and I smell like Roses everyday!" Aloe says making every laugh

"Just like your dad , haha , now have you got something to say to anyone at home?" Casear asked

"Yeah , like dad , who I miss , in fact I miss district 12 , Amanda! , come save me from this trouble ....... NO .................. NO  , GET OFF ME YOU BASTARDS! I AINT FINISHED!" Aloe said getting my attentions as he was getting grabbed and pulled off the show by the peacekeepers and as Casear gets ready to sign off the episode I hear screams of pain.

"MUM! WE NEED TO SAVE HIM!!" I scream in pain , feeling the places where the pain was coming from , "MUM!!! , CAN YOU HEAR ME!" I shout but she sits there with no words , her face , she was completely blank , like a piece of paper. "MUM!"

"What's all the shouting?" My dad came in yawning like he just woke up  , "A-a" I couldn't find the words I was in so much sharp pain , I didn't get to say but when ever my brother gets hurt I feel it in the same place where he gets hurt , you don't know how strange it is but we are siblings. "Come on Amanda spit it out" dad sat down next to me fixing his leg and pulling me to his shoulders and rubbing them to know im safe , but there's like a kick in the side of my ribs "OW!" , "Amanda are you okay?" , "Im fine dad , I think Aloe's being brutally hurt"

Just then the house phone rang numerous times till dad got up to answer it , there was a bunch of yes's and alright's , I hope Beetee Is done with the weapons after seeing the broadcast I just want to save him even more , I cant even handle my own pain , its like Mum losing Aunt Prim in the bomb Uncle Gale set off that killed her , I know how it feels now its not great. Dad ended the call with who ever was on the other end of the line and tapped me and mum on the shoulder , "Beetee is sending us in separate groups to the capitol , and will we try hack the capitols airing time to send a message across to the viewers , we need to go now , we the rescue starts today , we have no time to lose" after he finished what he was saying I shot up from the couch and ran to get my boots and slid them on and ran to my bike and rode off to the command centre so I could find out what I should to do save Aloe , mum and dad were driving the car to the command centre as the car passes me when it enters the building entrance , I left them first cause I wanted the information first but not now I guess , I rode up the front door as I jump off the bike letting it falls to the ground as I run through the building knowing my way through already.

"BEETEE ..... BEETEE WHERE ARE YOU!" I scream from the top of my lungs after not seeing him in his little cubical , "BEETEE! ANYONE ? WHERE ARE YOU!?" I continue shouting at I walk down the halls till Beetee's head pops from a corner of a door and gestures me to go in. I ran to the door and walked in to see mum, dad , mark , jake and everyone there , president paylor was there too , man she does my head in , she just wants the power! .  "When are we going !" I shout in a hurry before who knows what happens to Aloe . "Amanda calm down" Mark came up to me rubbing my shoulder like dad did earlier that soothes me , "We need you Amanda , to send out the word for the district help , we also need you to set off a distraction for the capitol" President paylor spoke up " are you ready to do this?" she askes me as I nod at her response and followed her to the door on the far left. "Hacked in to the district TV's" Uncle Gale shouted and gave a thumbs up to Beetee who was now trying to hack into the broadcast of Snow's new announcement "Hacked! your ready to go Amanda" Beetee says giving me thumbs up and a smile aswell as uncle Gale and the others who were watching , "YOUR LIVE!" president Paylor said

"Hey Capitol , districts and of course Snow" I fiddle with my fingers to find words "You may know that the Capitol have held me brother captive , and I need both all the districts and the capitol to help me get him back , I really miss him and if I don't get him back Snow I will  KILL YOU! We'll be in district 13 if you need us" I walk out the room slamming the door knowing that I will never getting him and he probably wont remember me by the time we get him home , "Guys hovercrafts are here" Dad warns us as we all jog up the hovercraft with the padded suits and weapons , we were fully trained now , we boarded the hovercraft as we see our names in allocated destinations in the capitol , I was partnered up with Jake , the thing was that there had to be one person who has a weapon that bombs things and set things to fire and that was me and another person with a weapon that can stab people with like Aloe's trident in the recent games were I had Aunt Prim die in my arms and reach. We were above the capital and dropped down  Uncle Gale and Mark into their position at the start of the capitol with some volunteers from out district as the next stop was the middle , where we dropped off mum and dad , I said my good lucks and hugged them and the hovercraft flew off where it was going to drop me and Jake off , we were a lot closer than everyone else was , we had 9 other volunteers with us as we quickly ran through the streets unnoticed.

I could see snow's mansion a few feet away , we have already lost 4 volunteers from each group that has been sent out I still had my 9 I kept them controlled and watched them as they weren't so experienced as I or Jake was , we reached the last road that was just across from the mansion as we checked the coast will I swung an arrow into my bow and pulled back aiming for the guards round the front of the gate blowing them away we ran up towards the padlock on the gate , as one of the volunteer used their unlocking skills we were in the mansions reach within seconds , I received a message by the walkie talkie I had on my shoulder that all my family were safe and Mark but lost most volunteers but still creating a distraction away from where my group was. There was guard walking up and down the front door of the mansion as I pulled another arrow but the fire one and shot it towards the middle of the ground as it set the place on fire as we ran the open door , we separated into 2 groups of 4 or 5 and went different directions.

My half of the group were on the very top floor , there was a fuzz from my walkie talkie catching a sound from the guard outside this locked room that says "Do not enter unless authorized" as I quickly switched the volume down and hide behind something while the other did the same , whilst the guard was infront of us Jake jumped out and killed him with just a swing with his trident. "Here Amanda! , these are the keys to probably that room he was standing at" Jake threw me the keys , "I need back up" , "We got you back don't worry" we ran to the door as I fiddle with the lock and the key trying to unlock it as the other guarded the area for me. It took me a good 4 minutes to unlock the door as I ran in with the others and closing it behind us.

I saw him right there , crying in the corner , blood dripping from his clothes , like the blood I had this morning , same place , is that him?
