Chapter 15

The boy who sat there in the corner lifted his head from his knee's, his blue eyes and blonde hair wet from crying stared into my grey eyes , it took a moment to realise It was me in front of him , its been so long after finally being reunited with him. I couldn't explain how happy I was seeing him , when we get home I will make sure all those cuts and bruises are gone and ask grandma for some help since she came back when I was 14 from district 8 after the capitol blew up the hospital she was working in , I was waiting for signs for him to come , then I realise they dashed a sword through his leg.

*flashback*

sunny day In the backyard of our house mum was pushing the 5 year me on a swing that dad had made and attached it to a big branch on a tree, mum was pushing me for a while until she stopped for some reason and dad had gone in the house because Aloe was crying and brought him out in the sun to feed him the milk bottle.

"Amanda, you want me to finish the story when I was in the games with your dad?" mum asked me knowing that I noticed that she had stop pushing me and became bored

"Okay" I replied as mum helped me get out the swing and we both sat on the warm grass.

"Where was I up to?" Mum asked me , shes forgetful you see at her age

"Um.. when they said you can have a 2 victor win but from the same district" I answered her question and she began talking until I finally paid attention to ...

"I was walking around the nearest source of water, since Haymitch said it was our new bestfriend , I saw fresh blood leading to where your dad was and I found him in camouflage in to the ground as I pull all the moss and mud from him and helping him up, then I saw he had a gaping hole in his thigh"

*end of flashback*

I quickly snapped back to the real world , as Jakes receives a message from our command centre saying that we haven't got long to get to the meeting location to get back home , I thought for a moment how we could get him to the hovercraft before we're discovered in this huge mansion and we have a feeling it wont be long till they found us , then I thought of having him in the middle of me and Jake as we lead him out while our volunteers help us. I walked over to him and encouraged him he will be safe.

"Aloe .. come on ... you do remember me right?" I asked and was  worried that his memory might have been taken away like mum told me that they did to dad but he managed to regain that memory after a couple years. Then he looked up to me and smiled , "Of course I remember you , you my big sister Amanda and you've come to save me" I let out a sigh of relief knowing that his memory wasn't gone and hugged him. "Amanda , hovercraft is just few metres over our meeting area" Jake said as I pulled away from the hug "We cant make it that far , he cant walk , see that sword dash in his leg , just like the one my dad had when he was in the 74th games" , "Am I going to get an artificial leg?" he asked scared to his little life , " Aloe im not sure if you will but that's the possible chances but im sure you wont and when did they do this to you?" , "After the broadcast 2 and half hours ago" , "Right , Jake tell them to fly over the mansion , we'll escape from the roof top down the hall and after we're aboard the hovercraft we'll nurse his leg." I commanded 2 volunteers to take Aloe as I went to pick up my bow from the floor and exit the room first follow by the volunteers , "Take him to the rooftop make sure he wont be seen by any guards" they nod at my command and walk to the rooftop door , "Their on their way here" , "Great job Redhood" , just then our eyes linked my grey eyes looked in to his green eyes and he leaned in to kiss me as I kissed back , I knew this is wrong , I shouldn't have done that but theres not time to think , we smiled at eachother as I heard heavy footsteps from behind "Come on Redhood lets get moving" I said running to the rooftop door.

We were now on the rooftop as the so was our 9 volunteers that came along with us and the two I let help Aloe had let him sit on the air vent that came out the roof , I could see the hovercraft in the distance as I prepared my bow and pulled a normal arrow from the sheath and shot it in the sky for them the locate where we were as Jake shut the door entrance to the roof and locked to make sure no one could get up here , the hovercraft was now about us as the drop down a huge metal plate quietly and everyone stood on top of it and shot us up instantly and flew off to collect the others , but before the plate lifted us up , a sword was thrown towards us as it cuts the sleeve from my arm and leaves a cut on my arm as I turn around as the plate Is quickly lifted and shot an explosive arrow towards the army of peacekeepers below.

We were now all reunited in the hovercraft as the 1 hour and half flight back home , we sat there aiding our wounds with the help of the first aiders they brought to help us with any injuries we might have gotten in the fight or the rescue , for me a man we no hair and huge circle glasses sterilized my wound with a wipe and wiped it with a normal ordinary tissue and wrapped it in a bandage as for the cut from the recent arena on my cheek was also treated by some ointment from 5 , Jakes district , he left district 5 and moved to 12 to be closer to me and the others. After the man wrapped my arm up with a new blood free bandage I watched Aloe carefully being treated as he can finally walk again , but I still think he will get that artificial leg , I really hope he doesn't , mum and dad had the same injury as me but in different places so did Mark , the man gave me a new roll of bandage in case mine had a lot of blood already , so I put into my sleeve pocket and walked over to Mark , "Are you alright .. what happened?" his blue eyes looked into mine as he pushed up his glasses as he pushed mine up aswell , yes I wear glasses too , "You seem worser than me , a peacekeeper had a go with me with his sword and it cut me in the leg like your brother" , "Aww you poor thing" I kissed it cheek to make him feel better and it did , as I swung my feet over the bench to see how Aloe was getting along as Mark did the same , " You alright bro?" I asked seeing me smiling again , "Im great, in fact im back with my family , awesome sister and my friends" I smiled and got up and sat near him on the floor minding my arm and hugged him while having a brotherly and sisterly laugh as usual as Mark , Mum and dad join in while everyone else was continued to be cared for , Jake and eyes linked once again as I look away
