Satomi's P.O.V.
I return to find Aang in the Avatar State blasting away at the base. I close my eyes and slip into it myself. I can control what I am doing though. Aang can not. Fong is trying to tell Aang that something was only a trick. I ignore him. I will deal with him later, but for now I need to keep Aang from destroying anything else. I snap my glider shut and place it on my back. I hover in the air using air bending. It takes a lot more energy than gliding and is a bit harder, but I'm expending so much energy already it doesn't matter. I fly a bit closer to Aang before adressing him."Aang!" I yell over the roar of his attacks. Nothing. "Aang you need to calm down. Katara is fine," I tell him spotting her on the ground. Nothing. I sigh. Fong pushed him too far. I fly in front of him and catch his next attack with my bending. I fold it in on itself until it disappears. "Aang, you have to fight this. You can not let it control you. You have to calm down. Katara is fine," I assure him. His brow furrows as he sees me as a target, a threat. An enemy. He begins attacking me. I evade all his attacks easily, but I also assure they don't strike any one or anything. "Aang you need to stop," I growl. Nothing. He's too far gone. He throws another attack at me. I dodge it and stop it from hitting the training grounds. "I'm sorry. I didn't want to do this Aang," I say as he throws his next attack. I catch it and swing it back around at him to trap him in a ball of swirling air. He tries to get out, but my trap holds firm. I close my eyes and slip out of the Avatar State. Aang tries again to escape but the attempt is pathetic against my power. He's still so much weaker than me in this state. I shiver slightly. I must be getting much stronger then. I gently lower both Aang and I to the ground. I slowly let my legs adjust before I completely release my hold on myself.
"No!" Fong shouts. "You must let us figure this out!" My eyes flick back to shining blue of their own accord. He starts surprised. I pull the blue away swiftly.
"I know how to control it, and this is not the way to learn how. You know nothing about it, and I suggest you leave us be," I warn. One more toe out of line Fong, and I will chop it off. He doesn't seem to take the hint. He growls and bends my legs in the ground. I sigh and keep one hand focused on Aang's containment. I reverse what Fong did and jump up into the air ten feet avoiding a boulder that Fong slung at me. I land on my hand and spin on it so I face Fong. I am careful to keep Aang's bubble operable though. He clenches his teeth and sets his jaw. He begins throwing attack after attack at me. I evade them all nimbly. We contiune this little dance until I hear Aang shouting. I turn my head to the side for a second to find Aang returned to normal, but it is enough of an opening for Fong to wrap a band of rocks around my torso. They squeeze around me tightly and I can hear the creaking of my ribs. I take in a sharp breath and abruptly sling them away with a war cry that sounds strangled. Sokka takes Fong out and I fall to my knees. I pant trying to breathe. My ribs. I gingerly prod them with my fingers. I hiss and pull away. I won't be able to practice until I heal now. A few have definetly fractured at least. I wrap an arm over my lower ribs protectively and try to stand. I manage to stumble forward, but I can not walk. Aang back tracks and gently scoops me into his arms. I groan faintly as the movement irratates my injuries.
"Sorry," Aang hisses in a whisper.
"It's ok," I reply through clenched teeth. I take in labored breathes. It hurts to breath. Katara then tells the base of our departure. Aang jumps on to Appa's saddle and gently sets me down.
"Are you ok?" he whispers. I nod.
"Yeah, I just need some sleep," I reply my eyes shutting.
"Does it hurt to breath?" he inquiries noticing my stiffness.
"Yeah, but I'll be ok. I just fractured a few ribs is all," I say. It suddenly becomes much easier to breath. I sigh content.
"Go to sleep, Satomi," Aang whispers. I take his advice and sleep.
