Same bed, but it feels a little bigger when I hold on to the panda Liam had given to me a while ago. My head hurts, but the pain had drastically lessened after I had glugged down the required dosage of painkillers and took a long, hot bath.

The doorbell rings, making me lazily get to my feet and sluggishly pace to the door, looking through the tiny hole and wondering what made Alexia come today, and in all matters, so early.

“What are you doing here?” I ask as soon as she appears.

“Good morning to you too, Eleonora,” She brightly smiles before tilting her head to the side, expecting me to invite her in.

“Morning. You didn’t answer my question.” I demanded an explanation. I wasn’t supposed to see her until tomorrow.

Before I know it, the boy who had been hiding by the side of the wall, stands by her side and smirks. “Eleonora. Fancy.”

“Yves,” I lowly say. “Yves!”

“I heard you the first time,” He mutters, shoving his cellphone into his pocket that had several papers sticking out, apparently rolled.

“Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today,” I comment before he barges in, pushing me to the side and plopping down on the closer side of the couch, pulling his phone out again, and scrolling down the iPhone with his index finger as he loudly pops his bubble gum.

“I should have done that,” Alexia notes before walking in decently and settling neatly on the couch close to Yves.

First of all, they were together. Yves and Alexia. The last time I checked, Yves had no idea he had an older sister named Alexia.

“You have some explaining to do,” I direct my words to Alexia, “But before that. Anyone wants something to drink?

“I’m good,” Yves does not tear his sight away from the screen of his phone.

“No, thank you.” Alexia picks up the Cosmopolitan magazine from the coffee table and flips through the pages, licking the tip of her finger in order to take proper hold of the next page, looking at the trends of the upcoming month, September.

“Now,” I sit on an individual chair that was comfortable for me to settle on with my knees pressed against my chest. “How are the two of you together? How did you even meet Yves?”

“Well, I got his number from dad. I decided on meeting him for the first time after so many years. Mom said I was being ‘absurd’ but I think it was the right thing to do so I said ‘why not’ and ended up having a lunch with this gentleman over here.  We’ve been hanging out for the past few days without you knowing.  Also, he has been trying on different suits.”

“Wait, Yves is coming as well?”

“Yves doesn’t have to be talked about in third person, you know?” He waves his hand and I laugh.

“Okay. Yves, you’re coming as well to the wedding?”

“She and my mother say it will be a good way to have some bonding time with Daniel.”

“What do you think Nora?” Alexia asks.

“I’m not against it. I am actually glad he’s coming. Italy will enlighten him. Do you know he paints?”

“Do you?” Alexia surprisingly looks at Yves and he nods repeatedly.

“You have to show me your work sometimes. You can even show dad your work. He has lots of connec—“

“He doesn’t have to know shit.” Yves snaps.

“But, don’t you want your work to be known?”
