So apparently no one knows how to spell definitely anymore.

I've been reading a lot of fanfiction (You guys should know by now how weird I get when I read that shift.) and all the 'definitely' s are spelt 'defiantly'.

Definitely- Of course, sure, any other flipping agreement of some kind

Defiantly- stubborn, hardheaded,

THEY ARE FLIPPING ANTONYMS!

So guys, on a completely different note, do you like spiders?

Do you like the story in Greek Mythology about Arachne and Athena?

So, Arachne was a weaver. Athena was somewhat the goddess of weaving. (And wisdom, battle strategy, and, apparently, jigsaw puzzles.) Arachne challenged Athena to a weaving contest. Arachne was the better weaver. Athena got mad. Athena turned Arachne into a spider.

I think that story is awesome. It shows how impulsive the Greek Gods were. It shows that the gods did things out of spite. And for the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy, who is supposed to be one of the more patient Olympians, to be impulsive and boneheaded, it just Lind of puts things in perspective. It also reflects the relationship the Greeks had with their gods.  They definitely (THAT WORD AGAIN) had a different relationship with their gods then the Ancient Egyptians and other ancient civilizations.

The Egyptian Gods were very predictable and nice because that was how the Egyptian's river (Nile) was. The Mesopatamians thought their gods hated them because their rivers (Tigris and Euphrates) were unpredictable and violent. The Greeks thought their gods were to be worshipped and obeyed because they controlled the forces that brought them either prosperity or hardship. The Roman Gods were mostly like the Greeks, except they were a little more civilized and regal. They were still offended easily, but they were also harsher in their punishment.

(Remember, all this came out of the mind of a 12 year old. A scatter brained one at that.)
