Her Night

Michael's POV
As I sit with the producers and directors for tonight's show I can't help but to feel a sense of proudness for this wonderful woman that I get to call my wife.  We just finished putting the finishing touches for the show . With the stars that are to speak on behalf of Roberta. I am so blessed to say that I get to speak as well and present yet with her award . She is the recipient for the lady of soul Award. I watched the video and I almost cried.  She has touched so many people in just a short time.  Her beauty and grace has given people a purpose in life.  She is basically the voice of her generation . Tonight is her night and I'm proud to be apart of a special event. I don't get to see her until tonight that's the only sad part but it'll be worth the wait. 

Roberta's POV
At the age of 34 I realized that the more you work out like go running and stuff the more you start to appreciate life and all it has to offer. I just came back from running and as I sit on the floor of the dance studio I begin to take time and think of all that life has offered me and I accepted them all.  Including the award that I am receiving this evening.  I am still at a lost of words. I'm forever grateful though.  I'm am also excited for it too. With this being the talk of the town for a while now I can only wait . I don't know who is doing what but I am being assured that it is going to be a show that I won't forget.  That makes me happy.  I'm even more
excited because my family will be there.  Most importantly my husband will be the host. I can't wait.  Right now I'm in Lyn room holding her while she sleeps in my arms. I never felt this kind of love. She is something different, she brought out the woman that I am actually supposed to be. For that I thank you Madelyn. I lay her down and go to her closet and pick out her dress for the evening.  I'll be wearing burgundy and gold. So I came across this burgundy dress with ruffles on it. I picked out her black dress shoes and black stockings. The dress has two medium size bows on the front of it.  It's short sleeve so I added her black sweater to it.  After laying it out on her island in the closet, I picked out her accessories which are burgundy hair clips, I want her hair out seeing that I recently became accustomed to braiding her hair. It does good for her hair with the every two weeks washing and conditioning treatment I give her. So I want her hair out tonight in little natural curls that's it's always in. I'm done picking her stuff out I now go To my room and pick out something to watch while I the hours past but damn, I can't sit still...  I really can't believe this is happening....  Wow. I lay down and the last thing I remember is thanking the good lord above and closing my eyes...

Michael's POV
After wrapping up my speech and the itinerary for this even I'm now walking in my house and it's absolutely quiet... I walk upstairs . I first go to my angel room and she's knocked out.. My baby . I go to my bedroom only to be  grace with the beauty of my sleeping wife. God she's beautiful. I get comfortable and lay next to her and after stroking her hair and her soft face I find myself dozing off, so I let the sleep consume me and off I go.

Six hours later...

Roberta's POV
We awoke from our nap about two hours ago and I'm sitting in the hair makeup and I'm still in shock as I look around and hear noises and people trying to get us together for this fantastic night as always I got Lyn dress first and got her in her bouncer because I can't risk her getting dirty I need her to be just perfect. I have on my dress and I love it soo much. It's classy. It's gold and swayed. It's long and has long sleeves and one long slit on the left leg.  My hair is in a classy 50's curly do.  My makeup Is classic.  I'm ready but at the same time I'm extremely nervous. Gosh I'm being presented with the lady of merit award and lady of soul Award.  Gosh... 

Michael's POV
Even though the night is moving so slow it's moving soo fast. I'm in the next room getting the finishing touches on me and I am by far soo excited to see what the star of the night looks like.  From what I heard she's suppose to be jaw dropping tonight but that's a everyday look for me . I'm making my way downstairs with Lyn who is just chatting away like usual. She looks adorable in her burgundy dress. Now as I wait for my wife I can't help but feel anxious about her.
