Family Ties

The Night Before

Roberta's POV
Its been three days since my heart broke and its still broken . I got to New York yesterday morning and to see all my family it was soo good . Yes Lyn is with me . I know mike said to utilize what i have here but he also said to take a vacation. Well the day after he left which was his birthday and from what he told me because i made sure to sing him happy birthday including Lyn chimed in hahaha his staff made him a three layer cake and the audience sung him happy birthday . I can imagine the look on his face but he told me he cried because he is thousands miles away from home and it reminded him of something i would've done . He misses me and i miss him . The night he left i couldn't sleep at all i slept in Lyn room that night . Her room is soo soothing . So here i am in my parents home and it is packed with family his friends who went to school with him who grew up with him . My brother got in last night with sapphire . Maleigha got in earlier this morning i had to go get her . Even Micah and Dakota are here of course with their parents .  The service is tomorrow morning . My mother ,brother and i had to pick out his outfit but from what i am told he is going to look sharp which is something he always did when it was time to look sharp. My father has six siblings which means i have a lot of cousins and most of them got in today .... it always something good when we are all together because each of us are replica of our parents . They made his obituary and i didn't make my speech because i don't know what to say .

                     Later on that day ....

We are now at the dinning table and the table is full with laughter and family and most importantly .... love after dinner we all traveled to his favorite park and chilled out there and shared our favorite memories of my dad . Tomorrow after the service we are going to spread his ashes here . Every summer . His favorite thing was cookout.  He was always helping the next people . Setting their grill up for them . He knew how to throw down on the grill ... man daddy i miss you soo much . The thing i  knew lyn was going to do was ask for her pop pop and she did and my uncle had to explain because my brother nor myself could do it . She is too young to understand what all of this means but she going to have to know tomorrow ....

After coming back in and everybody went to their hotels and some of us stayed with my mom . I went to my room with Lyn but she wanted to sleep with my brother so to her uncle James room she went ... i went to sleep after praying and of course calling mike who called earlier to talk to my mom and brother and Lyn

Tomorrow is going to be hard ... i know it
