I looked at Mrs. Wolberry dumbfounded. All of this X and Y in my math problems was giving me a headache. This was the fourth time we had gone over it. I think I was giving her a headache. Poor her.

"Here let's try to do it another way."

"Another way!?" I asked. "The first way was hard enough." I sighed. "I think I need a break." I stood up.

"You know, no matter how many breaks you take, you'll start were you left off."

I rolled my eyes and walked towards the window. There stood a girl posing for a man holding a camera. He changed her position every now and then. Her two piece black bathing suit was very nice. She was beautiful. Her chestnut colored hair flowed in the wind naturally as she smiled.

The photographer had paid my father to use the garden for a photo shoot. Plus they get to use the pool area. I think these pictures had to be realated to spring.

"You could do better than that." His deep voice whispered into my ear. I was surprised but didn't react much.

"Nah, she's beautiful. She has the body for the two piece."

"Don't put yourself down. You have a great body. She is a model, she's probably plastic."

"Thanks Kyle, you made me feel way better." I rolled my eyes. "I'm supposed to be modeling Amanda's dress later this week. I feel like it's going to go bad. Look at me I'm no model."

"I've looked at you. You're perfect... I think it's time you go finish your lesson. I have something to show you." He said not looking happy.

I was going to ask him about it but I knew I was just trying to get away from learning. So I just smiled at him and he smiled back. I walked back to the couch getting back to work. "Okay Mrs, I'm ready to try again."

"Good." She said.

"I'll be in the kitchen!" Kyle said. I knew he only came for food.

After going through my work all over again, I kinda got the hang of it. Why was math so confusing? I felt like I was doing it right but I guess I was wrong. What I don't get is why Mrs. Wolberry didn't just show me the easy way first. She has me struggling for a while.

After she went over my homework for the rest of the week I walked her to the door. Then I made my way to the kitchen to fine Kyle.

He sat at the kitchen island with Marry and Austin. "What are you guys doing?" I asked.

"We learned to make a pie." Kyle said.

"And now we're eating it." Austin said.

"I want pie. What kind is it?" I took a seat next to Kyle.

"We made different kinds." Mary said giving me a plate and fork. "We have strawberry, lemon, and apple."

"Um the strawberry kind." I said.

"Ha! She got mine." Austin said. Kyle rolled his eyes and took another bite of his piece of pie.

Looks like Kyle gets along with Austin just fine. "I'll eventually try all of them." I said. "Where are my parents?"

"You're mom had an appointment at the doctor's." Mary said.

"She's sick?" I asked.

"No, it's a check up." She said. "Nothing to worry about."

Even though the boys had made the pie they were very good. I wasn't surprised, after all Mary had taught them.

Austin stayed in the kitchen helping Mary clean. Kyle and I went up to my room. I was curious as to what he had to tell me. He didn't look to happy about it.
