*James' P.O.V*
"It's amazing, isn't?" She showed off the dress. It was perfect for Debbie who had wished for something simple. I'm sure this would make her happy. After all Amanda had been working hard on this one. She knew if Debbie liked it the world would like it. She was doing a dress for a women who was worth a lot of billions in this world.
"Yeah, it looks very pretty." I said.
"Hey, cheer up. You're making me sad."
"I'm just tired. I haven't really slept. I finished all my pills and left the other ones with Mary."
"I'll get them for you."
"Thanks." I gave her a lazy smile.
"You know... men are allowed to cry." She sat on the couch gently. She had to be very carefull with that dress.
"I don't want to. I cried out of anger two days ago. Taylor's being a real bitch."
"Come on baby boy, I'm sure this will soon be over. You should focus on something else. Get a girl to distract you."
"You are distracting me." I smirked.
She slapped my shoulder with a frown on her face as I laughed. "That is not what I ment."
"If I wanted any other girl I would of had her by now. Take Jenny as an example." I stirred the last of my whiskey and chugged it down.
"Drinking is also bad. You quit college and your job. All you need to do is drugs and you'll be the old Kyle."
Anger boiled in me again. I threw my glass at the wall. She had to mention him. I was not becoming Kyle. I was James. Same old regular James.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. But you need to be someone in this world. With or without Taylor. Maybe it's for the best. You did the right thing. Let her get into her own trouble."
"That," I pointed at her, "Is good advice but I feel like I'm taking her place. I'm taking her abusive old life. I'm in pain. I have you and Debbie by my side. I want to protect them so I hide away. We're both in danger... Just like we were before the whole kiddnapping thing."
"Then change it. It doesn't have to happen again. You say what's next. Put command into it." She stated.
"Yeah? And what about Debbie?" I sighed.
"As long as she stays away-"
"They live in the same house. We need Taylor to move out. As long as Taylor's in that house, everyone in there is in danger."
I looked at Amanda. She looked beautiful in that wedding dress. I was glad she had came over to my place before she went to the Ryan's Residence. I was all alone surrounded by morons. Yes John and Debbie have the house surrounded by guards. It's not even my house. My Uncle Adam is letting me in live in it for now.
"Are you going to the wedding?" She asked.
"Best man." I reminded her.
"Right, I forgot." She said. "You know Taylor is-"
"Don't care...." I said. I was tried of hearing Taylor this, Taylor that. Everything revolved around Taylor. I needed a break.
"So who are you taking?"
"To the wedding?" I asked. Amanda nodded waiting for my answer.
"I don't know." I rolled my eyes. "I'll take a friend."
"I'm going to take this off." She said walking to one of the rooms.
I got up and began to clean up the glass. Amanda was right, I had to stop drinking. I was going to rot inside out. I threw the glass in the trash and grabbed a water bottle.
