It's crazy, how that got letter word gets tossed

I'm guilty said so many times before

But I can't front no more

That moment your creative juices are flowing then writers block has to come into play. I have this song that I've been working on for about a week now and I've written the whole song but I cannot get the intro right. In my head I imagine this song being sang by a group not a solo artist.

As I was walking through the halls of my family's company I'm trying to find the words to finish this first verse.

"Y/N, Dad wants to see you in his office for a minute." My older sister Diana said.

"Alright."

I made a u-turn and went back to my father's office. I knocked on the door and he invited me inside. My father, Mr. Davis Y/L/N, one of the greatest R&B singers to ever touch a mic. He's the one that pushed me to pursue music. Even when he was in prison he always supported me. My mother that woman is a piece of work, but I'll tell you more about her later.

"You wanted to see me Pop?" I asked.

"Yeah have a seat." Pop said.

I took a seat in one of my father's chairs and took off my headphones off. I grabbed one of the jolly ranchers out off the candy dish and unwrapped it before popping it into my mouth. "What did you wanna talk about old man?" I asked.

"You. Y/N I know that you've been writing some songs, really great songs. I'm just wondering why aren't you putting out another album." Pop said.

"Pop I don't feel like my stuff is good enough. People don't want to hear what I have to say." I said.

"You've got to be bullshitting me right now? Y/N you're one of the best singer/songwriter/producers in this business. You've won Grammys, AMAs, VMAs, Billboard music awards, Soul Train Awards, and BET Awards. You've even won an Oscar. You're the first artist on this label to ever win an Oscar. Trust me there are people out there waiting on that next Y/N album." Dad said.

"You think so?" I asked.

"I know so. Matter of fact I'm gonna help you produce your next album." Pop said.

"Thanks pop. Is there anything else you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Yes there is. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately and you know what the music world needs?" Pop asked.

I thought about my father's question but I couldn't think of an answer.

"I got nothing pop." I said.

"Y/N name three great girl groups." Pop said.

"En Vogue, TLC, and Destiny's Child." I said.

"After Destiny's Child split there hasn't been many popular girl groups out there. I wanna bring that back. A group of beautiful voices working together in perfect harmony." Pop said.

"I think I might have the perfect group of girls in mind. There's this group called Fifth Harmomy and I've been following them for about two years. Five girls, super talented, beautiful and they all have killer voices." I said.

"Do they have a manager?" Pop asked.

"Not that know of." I said.

"Bring these girls to me and if they're as good as they say you are, I'll give them a deal." Pop said.

"Slow your roll bald eagle. Now you know that I have to hear these girls sing before a contract even gets printed." My mom said as she walked in my father's office.
