Shai's POV

I don't what it is but something doesn't feel right about today. It's little Riley's fifth birthday but no one is celebrating. We're all gathered at my parents house for Sunday dinner and I honestly I'd rather be anywhere but here. The only reason I'm here is to spend time with my niece and nephew.

"Shai." Riley said.

"What's going on princess?" I asked.

Riley sat in my lap and laid her head on my chest. I felt her little tears hit my shirt and I heard her sniffling.

"What's the matter mama?" I asked.

"Y/N isn't here. She never misses my birthday. I don't think she loves me anymore." Riley said.

"That's not true Riley. Y/N loves you more than anyone else in this family. I've tried calling Y/N but she won't talk to me either. I know for a fact she's mad at me but I deserve it though. Instead of helping my sister I hurt her." I said.

"W-W-Well call her and tell her you're sorry. That way she can come see me." Riley said.

"I've tried that princess but she's not talking to me." I said.

Riley just sat in my lap and cried her eyes out. I did my best to comfort her but it didn't work. All Riley wanted was Y/N and I couldn't make that happen for her. I tried calling Y/N but she's blocked my number. Once Diana got Riley to calm down we went into the dining room to eat. My parents and Diana are walking around as if nothing is wrong. Everyone was here except Y/N and it just didn't feel right.

"Can you believe that daughter of yours left the company to Jay-Z?" Mom asked.

"Roxanne I'm not in the mood to talking about business today or any day. What Y/N does with the company is her business, we can't do anything about it." Dad said.

"Davis, you and I built that company and you let that ungrateful little brat just take it from you and you're not even going to fight for it." Mom said.

I slammed my hand on the table, "Riley is at the table and she's already having a terrible day. Mom she doesn't need yo hear you tearing Y/N down." I said.

"Shut up Shai, you played a part in a this mess too. You helped your sister take the company and don't get me started on your little trigger happy moment." Mom said.

"Stop fighting." Riley said.

"You know what I'm sick of all this bullshit. We walk around pretending to be this perfect family but in reality we're pretty fucked up. Everyone wants to blame shit on Y/N and I but no one has been stopped to ask us what's wrong. And dad a lot of this falls back on you." I said.

Dad looked at me as if I was crazy.

"The minute you got famous you stopped being a father to Y/N and I. You cheated on mom plenty while you were on the road and Y/N found out about it and that crushed her. She worshipped the ground you walked and you didn't even saw sorry. The only thing that mattered to you was tour dates and album sales. You just stopped being a father and that's why Y/N and I are fucked up. Diana turned out perfect but Y/N and I are the ones suffering and you don't even care man." I said.

"That is no way to talk to your father Shai. Now he did the best he could with you girls. Y'all were the ones that made the choices you did. So don't blame your drama on us." Mom said.

"I can't speak for Y/N but I take full responsibility for my actions. And you know what, maybe if I had better guidance from you two I would've turned out better." I said.

The entire family started arguing and it got really ugly. We just started saying some pretty hurtful things to each other and there was no way we were going back from this. The only thing that stopped our arguing was the sound of loud glass breaking. Standing in the threshold was Riley and she had pieces of a vase in front of her.
