Chapter 20: Lesson # 2
Patsi didn't come to school the next day.. the next day after that and the day after.
I sent her a couple of texts asking if she's okay or what happened pero and huling reply niya ay "Hindi pa kita kayang harapin".
I don't know why she's being like this over a guy. I know she's my friend and I respect her feelings for Tristan pero kaibigan niya rin ako. I can't see why I'm feeling guilty at all.
I'm starting to grow tired of her.
You know what I heard? She's really not that rich!
"Actually mayaman talaga sila. Super yaman nga in fact. But I think she doesn't have much dahil lumayas siya sa kanila." sabi ko.
That was true. I heard from my mom since business partner sila ng mama ni Chelsea.
"Oo nga, baka kase may sakit girl." sabi ni Jiji.
I decided to keep quiet. Ayoko nang isipin si Patsi. It's more than enough na umiwas ako kay Tristan for her pero ang iwasan niya ako? I don't know the reason why she'll do that. I get it, she's hurt. But I'm hurt too! I liked Tristan as well.
My phone vibrated on my pocket. I unlocked it and checked the message.
Mr. Just Someone
This is Dr. Zhang of Zhang Hospital Psychiatry department. What time and date nyo po gustong ipaschedule ang 2nd Appointment nyo?
I smiled. Nagtipa ako ng sagot.
"Uh how about Sunday, 10 am?"
I smiled.
"Ang laki ng ngiti ha! Katext mo si Tristan?" tanong ni Jiji, eye-ing my phone.
"Yiiiiieeee! Ang cute nyo!" sabi ni Carm.
BINABASA MO ANG
Cannot Be
Tells the story of Cara Faye Quetzal and Nathaniel James Zhang.
