Chapter Four

Secret #4: I have to say that mini-missions are crazy...  It’s rather dangerous and sometimes altogether very nerve-racking.  But I have to admit that they are also very fun.

 --

In the morning, three days after the introduction of the bodyguard mission, Monique was surprisingly greeted by the Director and was given a key.  Looking at the key with confusion as well as suspicion, the young agent asked, “Um, what is this for?”

Maria didn’t reply to that question, instead she just smiled and said, “Guard it with your life.”  Then she walked away entering into Unit 2’s Office.

“Erm, alright then.” Monique muttered softly to herself and entered her own Unit office and looked around for her best friends/ teammates.  To her total surprise, she didn’t see them.  Shaking her head, the agent walked over to her desk and there on it was a short message saying that the other two were in a meeting.

Since the note was neatly written, the young agent didn’t think too much into it and assumed that it was really just a plain old meeting.

“Odd.” She however mused a little, as the girl sat down and opened her debriefing file again.  Flicking through the PowerPoint, Monique looked up as she heard someone enter.  It was Tony.  Smiling, she waved him over.

Tony grinned and held out a coffee cup to the girl, as he came into the room.  “I brought you some coffee.  Did you have breakfast yet?” He asked his friend.

Monique raised an eyebrow in question, but nodded her head, “Yeah, I did and just set it down on the table will you?”  She said, motioning to the coffee cup in her friend’s grip.  If she had looked up, the girl would have seen the disappointed look that came across Tony’s face.

“Sure.” The guy said and gently set the cup down and took a seat.  Craning his head across the desk, he then asked, “So what’s that?”

Monique shrugged her shoulder and flipped her screen around so the other can look at it too.  “It’s just the debriefing PowerPoint that Director Turnkey sent me.” She explained, flipping the iPad over again so she can continue to read.

“For your mission?” Tony asked with a smile.  He nudged the coffee cup and added, “You should drink it while it is still hot."

The girl waved a dismissive hand in the cup’s direction and muttered, “Later and yeah it is.  I’m still reading it, to try and memorize every single detail."

“Sounds like you are rather dedicated to it.” A new voice joined them, making the other two look up in surprise.

“Oh hello there, Jasper.  What’s up?” Monique asked with a hesitant smile.

Jasper Helmholtz shrugged his shoulder and replied, “Nothing Monique, I’m just here to congratulate you on getting the mission.  I never had the chance until now.”
