Chapter Twenty-Six

Secret #26: I can't believe undergrad school is finally done. I haven't told anyone this, but I have gotten an acceptance letter to one of the most prestigious dental school in the world, and it's in Royslin! I think I might accept it for it'll let me be closer to Rion. Oh and there is one more thing I have to say... I love him.

Graduation came upon all of them quicker than they had expected. Fortunately for all of them, no one had to rush to get things done on time. As the day came, Monique was found pacing up and down in the apartment.

Wayne, who was, unfortunately, still confined to his wheelchair, wheeled into the room with a bemused expression on his face. "Sweetie, what are you doing? Everyone is outside taking pictures. You're missing everything." He asked with a laugh.

The young woman, hearing her father's voice, stopped pacing for a few seconds to answer his question. "I'm nervous dad. What if I mess up? What if I trip and fall on my face? What if..." Wayne cut her off as he pulled her into a hug.

"Sweetie, calm down. Everything will be okay, trust me. You've tackled evil bad guys and save three people within the last 6 months. A little walking down to the stage to get your diploma is nothing." The older man said cheerfully, "Everyone will be there to cheer you on."

Monique gave Wayne a sheepish smile and said, "You know dad, you're right. I always tend to over react to everything huh?"

"Just a tad bit." Wayne replied, holding up his thumb and forefinger with a grin.

The young woman rolled her eyes a little at the gesture before grinning back as well. "Thanks dad," She said, "I feel a lot better now."

"Good, now come on out. I bet everyone is waiting to take photos with you." Wayne exclaimed, "I know that I for one want one with my lovely daughter."

As if right on cue, Taylor popped her head into the apartment door and said, "Come one Monii, we are all waiting for you. Do you plan on hiding in here and missing the graduation?"

That comment made Monique chuckle, "No, Taylor, I'll be right now. I was just preparing my speech, that's all. Alright then, come on." She then took a hold of her father's wheelchair and pushed in carefully out of the door.

Meeting everyone in the lobby, which had been decorated beautifully by the apartment staff, Taylor bounded over and grabbed Monique's arm. "Come on, Monii!" She squealed, "I want to take the first picture with you!"

However Roger also came and took ahold of Monique's other arm and said, "Nope, I'm going to first!"

"Nuh uh, it's me, that she's taking the first photo with." Tony replied teasingly, coming from behind and wrapping both of his arms around the raven-hair woman's waist, causing her to laugh out loud.

"Guys, guys," Monique said, shaking her head and pulling out of everyone's grasp. "How about we all take one together? A group photo first, so everyone can be first?"

Tony, Roger and Taylor all looked at each other before yelling at the same time, "No way!" Then the fighting started again.

But as the three were fighting, Jasper, Percy and Rion winked at each other before grabbing Monique. Together, the four of them ended up talking a picture together first with Percy and Rion on either side of her and Jasper in the back.

Hearing the flash from the camera, the fighting group looked up from their argument and gasped in surprise and dismay. "WHAT?" All three of them exclaimed at the same time.
