Chapter Twenty

Secret #20: I tend to consider everyone that I have met over my lifetime a school as a friend, but there is one person that is MOST definitely not on that list.  She is Bethany Young.  How dare she insult my dad, right in front of me?  Oh, I’m so glad that Tony came and put her right!

--

First day of school arrived sooner than anyone had hoped it would.  The first thing that Monique felt was the constant thud of Taylor bouncing on her bed.

“Wakey, wakey!  It’s 7:30.” The blonde woman chirped, shaking the raven-haired woman’s shoulder.

“Shut up nerdy.” Monique mumbled into her pillow, trying to block out her friend’s cheerful voice, which was too loud for her at the moment.

Taylor sighed and began poking the lump that Monique had made with her body.  “Come on, get up… please?”

The young woman groaned softly and rolled over mumbling, “Taylor, go away and bother someone else.  5 more minutes please?”

“Noooo, get your butt up now!” Taylor said, as she continued to bounce up and down, making her voice sound funny.  “Beside, I can’t go bother anyone else.  They are all up and eating breakfast.  Heck even Jasper and Tony are here.”

Monique sat up abruptly and sighed.  “Really, they are all here?”

Taylor nodded her head in confirmation and said, “Yup, and you are doing a lousy job at escorting the new kids around campus.  Look at you, just sitting here in your pjs.  Get your arse up and get dressed.  We are leaving in 30 minutes for Percy and Roger’s classes start in an hour.”

“Alright, alright.  I’m going.” Monique moaned and slowly eased herself out of her warm and comfy bed.  Apparently she was too slow for Taylor grabbed her arm and yanked her to her feet.

“Too slow missy, come on.  Come on!” The blonde girl chanted, pushing towards their connected bathroom.

Monique whined, “Taylor what’s gotten into you?  You’re never this pushy before.  Why can’t you leave me alone?  It’s your fault that I’m this tired.  You made me stay up all night with your snoring.”

“Sorry, but you know how I get when it’s my time of the month.” Taylor replied with a shrug of her shoulders.

“Why are you here then?  Don’t you get Percy and Rion’s help too?” Monique groaned slightly as she trudged towards the bathroom while stretching her arms out behind her.

Ducking slightly, in order not to be hit, Taylor shook her head, “Nope, apparently they only will give the treatment to you.  Lucky bitch.”  The other girl chuckled softly before wincing when she got the bathroom door slammed in her face.

“No need to be so rude.” Monique commented bluntly and the only reply she got from Taylor was a grunt as the other young woman walked away from the door.

A few minutes later, she came out to see that Taylor was indeed telling the truth.  Everyone was waiting for her.  A light blush appeared on Monique’s cheeks as she muttered, “Sorry for making everyone wait for so long.”

“Eh, it’s alright.” Roger said airily, “It was only 30 minutes or so.  We didn’t have to wait long at all.”  A couple of the others snickered at the little jab, the young man had made towards the blushing female.  The young woman glared at her best friend before taking an eraser from the bag and chucking it directly towards Roger’s head.  She smiled happily when she saw that it had made its mark.
