Chapter 43: New member to the party

STELLA'S P.O.V

I stared wide-eyed at Daehyun. I couldn't move. I couldn't turn around. Someone else heard our conversation. And the fact that someone other than me, Daehyun and Youngjae heard it.

"Who kissed you, Stella?" I heard the voice come nearer as the person spoke. And I felt a little bit uneasy and nervous. I wasn't ready for anybody else to know about Youngjae's kiss.

But I managed to turn around and face Hailey.

"I'll explain everything." I slowly said to her as I waited for her expression to change. She looked confused at first but then she nodded.

"I'll help with the explaining." Daehyun said when Hailey raised her eyebrow at him.

"I'll let the two of you explain. But first. Who the hell kissed Stella?" She asked. The tone in her voice was nothing but seriousness.

"Youngjae." Daehyun said. He seemed scared of Hailey for a moment.

Hailey's eyes widened as her mouth twitched up into a smile. Her seriousness was gone and I was confused. What was she happy about?
"That explains why he left the table." She whispered to herself but her voice was loud so we heard her.

"What?" I asked as if I didn't hear her correctly. Seriously, I think I'm beginning to be deaf.

"You said Youngjae kissed you right? So, he probably likes you. And when a guy likes a girl, the guy would get jealous if another guy gets close to the girl." She said and she smiled proudly. What did she want to say? I didn't understand what she said.

She looked at my clueless face and sighed.

"You're so slow." She sighed. Daehyun laughed beside me and agreed with Hailey. They're teaming up against me -_-

"I was trying to say that Youngjae got jealous over Himchan's flirting." She said in a duh voice.

"How did you know?" I'm seriously shocked. People around me are getting real good at guessing things. While I'm just there. I'm still not a good detective or something.

"I just noticed. I see how Himchan held your hand, Stella. And I saw Youngjae watching the two of you too. Therefore, I came to a conclusion that he was jealous." She said then smiled proudly at herself. She's really observant with her surroundings and it's really awesome. I wish I was as observant as her.

"You're really good." Daehyun mumbled, still awestruck at Hailey's conclusion. I saw Hailey's cheeks turn into a shade of pink. Oh, I think I'm noticing something too.

"So, it's true?" She asked trying to hide the fact that she was blushing.

"What's true?" I asked as I was confused at her question.

"I can clearly see that Youngjae was the reason why you kept smiling earlier. So, it's true? You like him too, don't you?" I couldn't answer her question. I was still confused whether I like him as a friend or more than a friend. I don't know what I feel towards Youngjae.

"I.. I.. I don't really know. I'm n-not sure about my feelings yet." I said and looked down. I really am confused. Other than my confusion with Youngjae, there's also Himchan. I'm torn between the both of them.

"But you kept smiling earlier. And that must mean you have feelings for him too, don't you?"

"I'm really not sure Hailey. I haven't been in a situation like this before. You should know that."

"Right. I know. But it's obvious that you like him, Stella."

I shook my head at her and smiled.
