Chapter 27 (Yasmin's P.O.V)

~Yasmin's P.O.V~ 

I woke up and realised I was still at Shane's house. Linda was already awake looking after Zack and smiled at me when I woke up. She let me get ready and I decided to talk to Shane. I walked up to his room but wasn't sure how to enter, in the end I knocked on his door and waited for his response.

"Come in." Is all I heard along with the bed squeaking. I opened the door and saw him struggling to sit up so I quickly rushed to his side and helped him. "Oh hey, Yasmin. You still here?" He asked letting me help him. I could tell he was a little embarrassed.

"Thought I'd stay for a while to make sure you and your family are ok." I smiled sitting next to him on the bed.

"Wait did dad come back yet?" He panicked.

"No he hasn't, look Shane we need to talk." I said looking up at him. Linda walked into the room with Zack. "In fact I need to talk to both of you." I had both their attention. "Please don't get mad but the other day I spoke to my brother about your situation." I said nervously.

"You did what?!?" Shane fumed. "You promised you wouldn't." I looked up at him and what I saw was shattered trust.

"Shane?" I asked but he just looked the other way and ignored me. It hurt really bad and I looked at Linda, she was about to say something but I shook my head and took a deep breath. "The other day I spoke to my brother because I knew what was happening here wasn't right and I didn't want you guys to be in danger. My brother has a friend who can help and has been working on it but needed evidence so the case could go through faster, which he now has but we are trying to help." I looked at Shane but he still wasn't looking at me.

"I'm sorry but I had to." I said broken and walked out the room. After a while I helped Linda make breakfast and was helping her pack all of Aiden's things. My brother called saying he would stop by later to take me home and that he would also get them a restraint order.

I had bought the last box down when I heard the front door. Linda passed me Zack and I went with her to answer the door. I realised it was my brother and relaxed, he then talked to Linda when another car pulled up. I watched Aiden walk up the drive way and stopped when he saw my brother and I saw his smirk drop. "What are you doing here?" He asked my brother confused.

"I'm here to pick up my little sister." My brother said standing in front of me. Aiden stepped back he looked like he just lost everything and was fuming. "Before you react I'm giving you a choice either I can let you walk away and you don't come back or I just phone the police right now. That restraining order means go can't go near them, understood." My brother said.

"This isn't over." Aiden fumed off taking his belongings with him. Before I left Linda hugged me.

"Thank you for having the strength to do what I couldn't." I hugged her back and noticed a change in her. I waved at her and Zack as my brother drove me home. I looked up at Shane's window and felt a sting of pain again but tried to get passed it.

When we got home my brother said he had to go and he'll be over later. I walked up to the door and opened it. As soon as I stepped into the room everyone started yelling.

I was currently in my room quickly packing what I could, a few things I might need and clothes. I left the house but didn't know where to go so I walked down to the park lost in thought. My thoughts were all jumbled and I was a mess, but I didn't let it show, at least not yet.

I made my way over to a tree and sat down. It was midday, the park was fairly empty. I put my things down and let myself be washed up by everything that happened in the last hour or so. I cried till I couldn't stop.
