Chapter 14 (Shane's P.O.V)

~Shane's P.O.V~

This morning my mum woke me up early, I got ready and headed downstairs. Dad was about to leave so I shouted that Yasmin would be over after school to tutor me, he nodded and left. I said bye to my mum and Zach before I left. I got to school early, I was walking to form lost in my thoughts when I realised Luke was walking in front of me. Don't know why but it seemed like he didn't like me why? I ignored it and was lost in my thoughts again. When I heard "hey Shane." I looked up and smiled at Yasmin. Wow, she's here early? Luke looked behind him to me and frowned then looked back at Yasmin. So he doesn't like me because Yasmin talked to me and not him? Interesting.

"Hey Yasmin." He said slightly annoyed, I smiled.

"Hi." She replied, like she wasn't interested; ouch. He carried on walking and I stood by Yasmin and Hannah.

"What was that about?" Hannah asked; Yasmin shrugged. "Yes you do, he got jealous because you said hey to Shane and not him." She smirked at Yasmin, so I was right. Wait I thought she liked him then why? "Look he's looking at you and glaring at Shane." She said looking over Yasmin's shoulder. She was right; Luke was glaring at me, I just smirked.

"I doubt that." Yasmin said, is she blind anyone can see that he's getting annoyed because I'm talking to her.

"She's right you know, he's glaring at me." I said amused, Yasmin turned and Luke quickly looked away. "Anyway, I see you're here early." I said, she normally came just before the bell.

"Yeah my brother wanted to come early." She replied, ah her little brother. I saw Yasmin look at the stairs and saw Sasha walking up with Ben. Yasmin and I walked in form and sat down. Half way through Luke decided to visit. In the past few days, I was starting to figure out I like Yasmin, in fact, her being here put me in a good mood. But I did still like Luke but not as much.

Luke walked past glaring at me and looked at Yasmin again before he left. Soon we found ourselves in English. We were starting to plan our assignment, at the end we walked to maths. The teacher was back and we were told that on Monday we were going to have an exam, great! I Know I'm going to fail, but Yasmin told me she'll help me get ready for it and that gave me hope. I was starting to do well in math with Yasmin's help, maybe I'm not as stupid as my dad says I am.

Break came next, Yasmin and I walked to our area where everyone else was. We sat down and joined in the conversation. After a bit everyone was chatting while Yasmin and I were in our own conversation about how people said were useless, but why would people call her that? She's an amazing person and I've only learned that from just knowing her for a few days. She was making me feel better about myself, she told me not to believe my dad. I told her not to believe the people that put her down.

The bell rang and we had science. Throughout science, Yasmin kept getting distracted but I kept telling her to stay focused, each time Aisha wanted to talk to her or anyone I kept telling her to do her work. I could tell her friends were getting annoyed, but she needs to do her work too if she wants to get into a good college and prove she isn't useless. She and my mum are the only two people who have inspired me to carry on.

Soon after we were in Spanish, we had it double today. We sat in our normal places while Emma kept glaring at Yasmin throughout it; it was starting to annoy me. People kept asking Yasmin if the lies Emma's been telling are true about her family and friends and I could tell it was starting to annoy her and our friends, me too. She just told them the truth and ignored Emma, I was amazed by how patient and calm she is. At the end Yasmin told us she would catch up with us later after she finished sorting out her things, we nodded and told her we would be waiting for her at our area. I was aware that Emma was in the class as well but Yasmin's a sensible girl I'm sure they'll be fine.
