Chapter 25 (Yasmin's P.O.V)

~Yasmin's P.O.V~

I looked out the window and forced myself out of bed. Just one more day and then it's the weekend. I got ready even though I still felt tired; Shane was still on my mind. I heard a knock on my door. "Yasmin?" My brother asked.

"Yeah?" I said opening the door.

"I'm meeting up with a friend today, I'll keep you updated." I nodded and left for school. I hope things go well and we could help Shane and his family as quickly as possible. I didn't want him to spend another night there. I saw Aisha on the way and I knew I couldn't keep it from her. I needed to tell someone or I was going to explode.

"Yasmin what's wrong?" She asked. But I didn't have enough time to tell her. The bell had rang and I saw Shane. He looked like something was bothering him too. Shit, I hope he hasn't found out yet. Was he mad at me? I was walking over to Shane when Luke stood in my way. I didn't feel butterflies in my stomach anymore. He wanted to talk to me but I couldn't hear a word he said, I kept looking over at Shane. I was still worried about him.

"Yasmin!" Luke said standing in my way and waved his hands in front of me trying to get my attention.

"Sorry, what?" I asked, I still didn't know what he was saying.

"You're not even listening to a word I'm saying." He said frustrated. "I asked if we could meet up at break." He said still looking at me. I turned my attention to him. I can't stay alone with him, he's messing with my head but I now know who my heart truly belonged to but it wasn't with him.

"I'm sorry but I'll be with my friends today." I said apologetically.

"We both know you want to spend time with me." He smirked. Maybe before but not anymore.

"Before Shane joined you didn't talk to me. What's changed?" I stated, it was the truth. He got annoyed. He would barely look at me and now that Shanes here he wants to spend time with me? I didn't want to get hurt and I didn't want to hurt Luke either.

"You like him don't you." He stated slightly upset. I smiled when I thought about what he said and looked at him.

"He's my best friend." Is all I said, but I knew Shane meant more to me than that.

"I really think we could have something." He insisted. Wait, what's he saying? I'll have to set things clear, this couldn't happen even if I wanted.

"You're only saying that because you don't like her spending time with me." Shane said standing beside me. My heart fluttered and I tried to keep it under control. They both glared at each other, I stayed quiet and was glad Shane was helping me, so he isn't mad at me? I relaxed. "Yasmin come on Mrs Turner's waiting by the door." Shane smiled at me. The warm feeling inside me started to grow.

"I'll be right there." I smiled back. Shane reluctantly walked away while Luke smirked at him.

"In a way he is right, look I don't mind being friends but we both know I'm not the girl for you." I tried to say as gently as I could. I've never done this before. He just looked at my face and sighed still a little upset.

"Guess it's my fault for treating you the way that I did in the past. I'm sorry, I'll be ok just being friends." He smiled. I smiled back politely and walked over to Shane. He smiled at me and we walked into form together.

"So what did Luke want?" Sasha asked interested.

"He wanted me to spend break with him, but I told him I'll be with you guys. I also told him to stop messing with my head and that we could only be friends." I replied taking a breath.
