Chapter 3- Jessica

" Come on Uriah!" I say poking his cheek. " I barely cut your hair. Stop being such a baby." I say poking him again.

" Of all the people in the world I just had to have you as a sister." Uriah says. I pout while Kylie gives him a look. " What? It's true!" Kylie just gives him a pat on the back while the others come into Kylie's office.

" Is Uriah still mad?" Alyssa asks. I nod.

" Dude man up!" Alyssa says. I laugh. Uriah just shakes his head.

" Come in it's not like I shaved you! I just cut of the tips. Barely!" I say.

" Were you aiming for my head?!" Uriah says.

" No I was aiming for the target!" I say to my older brother.

" Come Ri, you guys may be siblings but she wouldn't do something like that." Kylie says giving him a look.

" But Kyls she trimmed my hair!"

" Since when was it important to you?" Jack asks.

" Yeah you never care about your hair." Alyssa points out.

" I don't know but my hair is one of the best things about me!" Uriah complains.

" Lord help him." Kylie mumbles. Uriah glares at her.

" What? You're the one overreacting about getting a 'haircut'" Kylie says sitting down on her chair. She turns and faces her computer.

" Now let's think of something to say to The Rockets." Uriah says. Kylie hums in response. Alyssa freezes. I jump up and hold her steady while she has a vision. These happen a lot. Like a lot. They usually last a few seconds. She returns back to normal but is a bit light headed so I'm always there to catch her.

" What was it Lyssa?" Jack asks. She looks at him. We see worry and terror in her eyes. Kylie immediately springs up.

" They are coming. Just four of them. They are going to take one of us." Alyssa says. I grab a water from the table and hand it to her. She gulps it down.

" I couldn't see much but it gonna be soon."

" Aww! Come on I wanted to go to school tomorrow!" I say. If The Rockets are coming that means we have to be prepared and we have to stay home. Kylie usually goes shopping on Thursdays.

" I'm gonna go on my usual run to the store tomorrow but I want everyone on high alert while I'm gone. Uriah is in charge while I'm gone understood?" Kylie says. We nod.

" Great now who wants food? I'm starving!" Kylie says patting her stomach. Uriah laughs.

" I'll order some pizza, we haven't had that in a while." He says standing up and grabbing his phone.

" ONE PEPPERONI AND ONE CHEESE." Kylie yells after him. Uriah waves her off.

" I know Kylie." He says.

" Oooh!" I say.

" Attitude!" Alyssa says teasingly.

" Are you kidding me! And only girls have attitudes. I'm a guy so therefore I do not have an attitude," Uriah says.

" Sexist much?" I mumble. He whips his head to face me. Kylie cracks up.

" I am not sexist I just happen to know girls have a bigger attitude than guys," Uriah says. I nod.

" Okay."

" Okay? Okay? That's all you have to say?" Uriah complains.

" What else is there to say?" I ask. He thinks.

" I don't know but okay isn't a good answer," Uriah says exiting again. I do a face.

" Same Jessica." Alyssa says. We laugh.

" People the pizza is here!" Uriah yells from the living room. We sprint to the living room.

" Five kids alone in the woods. I wonder what a dilivery guy would say!" I exclaim once I sit.

" Nothing because we always go to pick it up," Kylie says. I nod.

" Hashtag creepy," Jack says. We laugh.

" Who wants to watch Big Hero 6?" Uriah asks.

" Yeah put it on!" Kylie says from the couch. She is spread out on it. Sitting down with her legs out in front of her. Uriah stares at her.

" What?"

" Get your legs off of my couch!" He says. He lunges towards her. She uses her super speed to quickly, literally, leap away.

" I forgot about your super speed." Uriah mumbles.

" Yup so did I," Kylie says sitting back down.

" Pass me the soda!" Alyssa says. I pass her the Mountain Dew. She serves us all a cup and passes around the plates. We grab two pieces and get comfortable. The movie starts soon.

" I love this movie!" Jack says from the ground. We smile at him.

" Goodnight Jack." I hear Kylie say when I walk past Jacks' room. I walk back a bit and see her tuck him in. He gives her a grin.

" Will we be okay?" He asks. Kylie gives him a encouraging smile.

" Everything will be just fine sweetie. Sleep well." She says patting his head.

" Goodnight." Jacks says dozing off. Kylie turns towards me.

" What? You want me to tuck you in too?" She says amused. I roll my eyes. She closes the door behind her.

" No I just like watching you tuck Jack in." I say as we walk to my room. She nods. Uriah come out of his room.

" Did you tuck Jack in?" He asks Kylie she nods.

" You got Alyssa?" She asks. He nods.

" She wanted you to do it but she settled for me when I told her you would do it tomorrow." He says.

" Ten years old and she stills wants to be tucked in. I hope she grows out of it soon." Kylie says shaking her head. We laugh.

" Well I'm going to crash. I'll see you in the morning." Uriah says. We nod and he hugs us goodnight. He heads to his room and shuts the door quietly.

" I'm going to sleep too. Night." Kylie says waving at me. I wave back and head to my room. I change into my Pj's and turn off the lights. I slip into my bed.

" Everything will be fine." I whisper to myself. I get comfortable and fall into a heavy sleep.
