Hermione (eight hours later)

I woke but didn't open my eyes. I tried to just fall asleep again but couldn't. I slowly opened my eyes and opened my mouth but found it too hard to move anything else.

Fatigue held my body to the bed, making it far too heavy to move. Draco walked in the room and saw I was awake.

"Hermione? How long have you been awake?" He asked walking over to me.

"Not... very long," I groaned.

"You should get more rest, your still really pale," he said.

"Oh my gosh! Draco, your really pale, you should get some sleep!" I replied with a small smile.

"This is the natural tone of my skin," He replied. "How are you feeling?"

"I can't move anything other than my face and my back hurts a bit but I'm fine," I said.

"Hermione, never say your fine again, okay? Just say your okay or something. Weasley brainwashed you into always saying you fine so I don't know when you are," he told me.

"Okay."

"You should at least try to sleep," he said.

I closed my eyes but didn't fall asleep.

I lay there for at least an hour before I actually fell asleep.

~*~*~

Darkness. I woke to darkness. I wasn't sure what time it was but I felt strong arms around me so I wasn't worried. I could barely move but I felt a lot better.

I snuggled up to Draco and fell asleep.

Draco

Hermione wasn't in my arms when I woke. I jumped off the bed and checked the bathroom. Nothing. I looked around the room.

I heard a groan and looked around. She was under the bed.

"Hermione?" I asked, lying on the ground so I could see her. "What are you doing under here?"

"I have no idea," she muttered, "but I'm really comfy."

I laughed and pulled her out by her feet.

"Ugh, I was comfy," she groaned.

I laughed. Her hair was carelessly thrown everywhere in untamed, unruly curls. She suddenly started laughing, her face lit up with a beautiful smile. I never noticed how beautiful she looked until this moment.

She laughed really loud snapping me from my daze.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked.

"Your staring," she replied, trying to hold back her laughs.

"Well you hair is a complete mess right now," I tried to cover, feeling my face turn red.

She laughed until she started holding her stomach. She quieted down.

"Draco," Hermione said.

"What?" I asked, annoyed she caught me staring.

"I can't get up," she replied.

I smirked.

"Guess your stuck there then," I said, walking away.

"No wait! Sorry for laughing! Just help me up!" She pleaded.

I laughed and grabbed her forearms. I gently pulled her up just to have her fall against me. She wrapped her arms around my neck so she wouldn't hit the ground. I quickly wrapped my arms around her.

We gazed into each other's eyes. I leaned in just to see, being the awesome hotness I am she was doing the same. I gently pushed my lips against hers. The kiss lasted five and a half seconds, not like I was counting or anything.

I rested my forehead against hers and rubbed our noses together. Hermione opened her eyes and smiled. I smiled back and helped her stand better.

She closed her eyes but I didn't close mine. I liked looking at her. We stayed in that comfortable position for a while until I was sure her legs would give out any moment.

I took her by surprise when I scooped her up in my arms. She squealed and held my shoulder.

"Sheesh Granger, you act like I'm gonna drop you," I laughed.

"Back to last names are we?" She asked. "And second you probably will."

I pretend to drop her making her yell.

"Please don't do that!" She shrieked, just to cover her mouth with her hand.

"I do what I want," I smirked, making her flinch.

"Just put me down," she pleaded.

"As you wish," I said, fake dropping her again.

"I asked nicely.... JUST PUT ME DOWN," She yelled.

When I refused she looked livid.

"Put me down!" She yelled, struggling to get out of my arms.

"You know Granger, when I talked to my parents like that I was punished," I said

She looked at me for a moment before relaxing in my arms. I smirked and, once again fake dropped her. The look in her eyes was murderous. I set her on her feet making her smirk. It quickly went away when she stumbled and fell.

I quickly helped her up and smiled at the annoyed expression on her face.

"I'm fine," She said, as I made sure she didn't get a bruise.

I glared at her before helping her to the bed. She shrank under my glare making my expression soften.

I rummaged through the cabinet of food I brought for Hermione because I don't want her leaving the room. I pulled out a green apple and tossed it to her. She caught it easily.

We both ate an apple and I grabbed the books off the side table.

"I brought you The Tales of Beetle the Bard," I said, handing her the book.

"Thanks," she said, flipping through the book.

"The tale of the three brothers is my favorite," I said.

"It's true you know, the story. We learned about it when we were on the run. Vold-"

"The dark lord, everything else is taboo," I cut her off.

"Right well he has the Elder wand, Harry had the cloak and stone," she explained. "If he hadn't gone into the forest we could have won."

I didn't say anything. I grabbed the book I got for me and looked for a spell that could reverse the one put on Hermione. After a while I found one.
