I was sitting by Hermione. Her skin was white and she hardly moved sense Theo left five hours ago. I ran my hand through her hair. It had dried blood, reminding me the room was still covered in blood.I sighed and got off the bed. I scorgifyed the sheets and floor before going into the bathroom. I quickly cleaned the blood and went back to Hermione.
When I sat by her she moved her hand. I grabbed it and held it in mine. It bothered me at how cold it was.
"Hermione, are you awake?" I asked softly.
Her eyes fluttered for a moment before they cracked open.
"How do you feel?" I asked.
She opened her mouth to talk but only a small cracking of her voice escaped. She moved her hand to her throat.
"It's okay, don't talk. I'm just glad your okay," I told her.
She squeezed my hand lightly.
"Can you squeeze my hand any harder?" I asked.
My heart clenched when she squeezed my hand again. She barely even held it. Her eyes closed for a second but she quickly opened them again.
"Stay awake Hermione, I'm going to message Theo," I said.
I cast a patronus and sent it to Theo. When I glanced back at Hermione she was looking at her fingers. They were pale and bloody. I cleaned them with magic so Hermione looked back up at me.
She tried to talk again to no avail. She managed a quiet squeak but otherwise couldn't make a sound. The bedroom door opened making me jump. Theo walked in with his box again. I stepped away from the bed and sat in the chair by the door.
"Why didn't you apparate in?" I asked.
"It's not safe when she's in this condition," he replied before looking at her. "How are you feeling?" He asked in a softer tone.
"She can't talk," I cut in.
"You look a lot better than you did a few hours ago," he stated. "I'm going to check your pulse and temperature, okay?"
She lightly nodded so he pressed his fingers to her wrist and looked at the clock.
"Draco, can you get me a parchment and a quill?" He asked.
I summoned them and handed it to him. He scribbled numbers on it before putting the back of his hand on her forehead.
"Now I'm going to feel if you have any internal bleeding, stay still," he said.
Hermione nodded so he drew his wand and muttered a spell. His brow furrowed and he looked at Hermione.
"I'm going to touch your stomach, let me know if I hurt you," he told her.
He gently pressed his hands on her stomach. He watched her expression closely as he moved his hands to the left. I winced when she cried out, her voice cracking immensely.
Theo didn't flinch in the slightest. More carefully he ran his hand over that same spot. Hermione cried out again.
"I know where the damage is now so it won't take much longer," Theo stated.
He rummaged through his box for a moment before pulling a potion out.
"Hermione, I'm going to give you a numbing potion, I need you to drink it," he told her.
He poured the potion in her mouth and she swallowed it.
"Hermione, I need you to listen to me, this will still hurt quite a bit. It won't last too long but-"
He stopped talking when Hermione started coughing. Blood dripped from her mouth so he went ahead and started muttering the spell. Hermione was stuck between crying and coughing.
After two minutes Theo finished and Hermione was a sobbing mess. Theo grabbed a sleeping drought making me snatch it from him.
I changed it to a green color and handed it back to him.
"I'll explain in a minute," I muttered.
He nodded and had Hermione drink the potion. Seconds later she was asleep.
"Why did you change the potion green?" Theo asked.
"Long story to which I owe you another thanks. It started when she had a nightmare, it was cursed so when I got her to wake up she fought us to use the potion. I asked her the next morning and she let me view her memories. Turns out the weasel raped her using the potion. She woke in the middle of it. She's traumatized and hates all sleeping droughts. The other night I tried to make her take one. She had a panic attack, this is where I owe you the thanks. If I hadn't known how to help someone with a panic attack them she would have hyperventilate. But I found if I change the color she doesn't know the difference."
"So you were listening when I showed you that stuff?" Theo asked.
"I thought it might me good to have a healer as a friend but you can't always been there. I thought if it was my mum I would want to know how to help her."
"I need to leave soon so a few things you need to know, Hermione can't eat anything solid for a week at least. She needs a blood replenishing potion every six hours for two days and don't let her stand up or anything of that sort until tomorrow, the day after if you want to be safe. She will likely cough more blood but it shouldn't be too much," he told me. "
"Thanks," I said.
"No problem, mate. If anything happens let me know," he replied before he apparated.
I laid next to Hermione on the bed but didn't touch her in the slightest. I didn't want to hurt her more than she already was.
I watched her for a bit before falling into an uneasy sleep.
~*~*~
Soft fingers ran through my hair so I kept my eyes closed. It took me a moment to realize who it was. My eyes opened and I saw a very tired looking Hermione.
She mouthed good morning and a small squeak escaped.
"Good morning," I replied. "How do you feel?"
"Pain," she whispered, her voice cracking.
"Where at?" I asked.
She slowly moved her hand to the spot Theo healed. I put a charm on it so it wouldn't hurt nearly as much.
"What...... h...apen..d?" She asked.
"Theo said your stomach tore and it caused you to cough blood," I replied, stroking her cheek.
She closed her eyes for a moment.
"Can..... I... Water?" She asked.
"Accio water," I muttered.
Seconds later water splashed on my hand. Annoyed, I used a drying spell. Hermione let out a rough giggle.
"Accio glass of water," I corrected.
A glass of water flew into my hand. I set it on the side table and turned to Hermione.
"I'm going to help you sit up. Let me know if I hurt you," I said.
I slowly helped her into a sitting position, thankful she didn't hurt. I grabbed the glass of water and brought it to her lips.
