"He's super cute!" I say giggling like an idiot. "Aside from his squeaky voice. It's really strange."
"Mel there are no new kids scheduled to start today." Corn says. Emily's mom works in the office and Emily asked her earlier if she could tell us more about Sean after I texted her.
"That's weird." I respond. "I mean are you sure cause mayb-"
"I'm sure. Ugh I got to go my scene is up." Emily says patting my head as she walks onstage.
I come onstage, say my lines and exit. It gets boring since this is all I've done after school the past few months, but it'll all pay off in the end. Corn walks past me and gives me a smile. She plays my mother and the choreographer, Madame Giry.
I sit against the wall and go over the blocking I've written down. Some of it is natural and some is improvised, but the show is coming together nicely. I know I need to work on my dancing though. I decide to practice the opening scene's dance. I'm not the most coordinated which is ironic that I play a ballerina and the choreographer's daughter at that.
I feel someone's hand on my shoulder and I turn around, startled to see Sean.
"You scared me!" I say swatting his chest. "Don't do that again!"
"Relax." he says chuckling.
"No. you're not even allowed back here." I say. "So how'd you get in?"
"Don't worry about it." he says.
Sean inches closer to me and I back up, bumping into a wall. He laughs and puts his arms on the wall holding me hostage. My eyes grow wide and his seem to turn black. I scream just as he's about to touch me, but he doesn't.
Mr. Drescher runs onstage and the girls onstage look out at me in the wings. Why hasn't anyone come take him away? They all look confused. I look up and he's still there sure enough. He's just smirking at me.
"You don't get it do you." He whispers in my ear. "I'm not real."
