*3 months later*

I was sitting in math class, just staring out the window. All the leaves had fallen of the trees and a snowy fog engulfed everything. The days seemed longer and even less interesting now that Greg had moved. Granted it's been a while, but I still walk through the halls alone. He was my best friend and I feel bad for shutting out Corn and Dara, but they don't understand. I don't have any motivation for a lot of things. I don't even put makeup on most days. It's even more scary than the chorus teacher who screams at the accompanist.

The show date is nearing and my only critiques are about the lack of emotion I put into my role. I got the role of Meg Giry which is like the only other girl role, but she's not very important. she actually kind of annoying and to be cast as her is basically an insult, but she does get solos so I won't complain.

Victoria Verdi got the lead in the musical and I'm double cast with Tori's best friend Paige Tomkip. Victoria is super nice and overly friendly and Paige has her moments, but I like her.

I write a pass to the bathroom and Mrs. Motan sighs. She's a really great teacher and she seems to like me or maybe she doesn't and that's why she always let's me leave. Either way I'm fine with it.

I go out into the hall and wander for a while. I go to the water fountain and I'm frightened when Austin Schillman taps my bag.

"Mam are you choking?" He says.

"What? No." I say confused.

"Oh sorry about that I'm captain of the swim team and I am a certified life guard so I take it upon myself to make sure every boy and girl in this school is safe." He states proudly.

"I know. We've only been going to the same school for ten years." I say.

"Oh right." He saws awkwardly.

"Left." I say. Why am I so weird?

"Well, uh enjoy your drink." He says and walks away. That was awkward.

I get my drink and head back to class. When I get back I take down the notes as staying after a minute copying them down as the bell rings. I shove my books in my bag and hurry out of the classroom. As I rush down the stairs I hear the late bell ring. I slow my pace because it doesn't matter whether or not I'm one or five minutes late. Just as I pass the main office the door opens.

A boy walks out with a dark leather jacket and voluminous blond hair. He had on tinted sunglasses. He lifted them onto his head and flashed me a smile. My jaw unhinged and my mouth hung open. He was gorgeous. he nodded at me and I smiled.

"H-hi! I'm Melanie." I squeak.

"I'm Sean. I just transferred." he squeaks back and I'm dumbfound. He squeaked, he literally squeaked. Maybe it was just a voice crack.

"Where did you transfer from?" I ask.

"Arizona." He says.

I smile and quickly rush off to class. What is with his voice? He sounds like a three year old. He was so perfect. Why did he open his mouth?

The day went by surprisingly fast for school, but then again I was zoning out for most of it. I went to my locker and my locker neighbor was their as well. Wait, I don't have a locker neighbor? I looked over and of course Sean got the empty locker next to mine. I quickly put my hat on, grabbed my jacket, slammed my locker, and rushed down the stairs to the auditorium.

I was sort of early because I rushed, but I didn't mind. Megan and I talked for a while and she complained about how she doesn't like the pencils she has to use to write down the blocking. We also talked all the latest gossip. I told her how Joannie finally broke it off with Cali Beach Boy because he was too needy as used more hair product than her.

When everybody else got here we started rehearsal, but I felt like someone was watching me.
