Green. Green drinks, green hats, green beads, green balloons, green cookies, green clothes, green people! Either I'm trippin' or it's a holiday.

Greg is coming home for the weekend and I'm so excited! It's very strange how his school keeps him under lock and key all winter break, but let's him leave for two days. I don't understand college, or North Carolina. I especially don't understand a college in North Carolina. Now that's just too much.

"Are you nervous?" asks Corn as we wait outside our local Starbucks for Greg.

"Not really." I say taking a sip of my hot chocolate, "I mean he's still Greg."

"So what you're saying is you'll cry?" Corn asks.

"Am I that basic?" I joke just as a car pulls up. It happens to be an old man though, so nothing important.

We stand awkwardly for a few moments and begin to shuffle a bit. This is the worst time I've ever had at a Starbucks, and I've had some pretty uncomfortable experiences here. One time I came in right before closing and saw my friend Nicole's sister, who works there, twerking while eating cake pops. I don't really like to go over Nicole's house anymore.

"Hey look!" Emily says pointing at a tiny green smart car. Greg!

I run over to the car and have to jump back up into the sidewalk so I don't get hit. He clumsily parks the car and fiddles with the keys for what seems like forever. When finally he comes out.

"Greg!" I say as I run and jump on him. We hug for a while when he starts to talk.

"I have a surprise for you." he says.

"Greg you didn't have to get me anything. You being here is great enough." I say, secretly very happy that I'll be getting a gift from him.

"I know. That's why I didn't get you anything," I look at him confused. "I talked to my guidance counselor and they've allowed me to extend my stay so I can see your show next weekend!"

"Oh my god! Greg that's incredible! That's amazing!" I squeal giving him another hug.

"I did also get you a present though." he says and my face lights up causing him to smirk.

He goes into his car and pulls out a huge bouquet of the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen in my entire life. This is so romantic. He gives me the flowers.

"Can you hold these while I get your gift. These are for my mom." he says diving back into the car. Figures.

He searched for a few moments and finds what he's looking for, a card. I awkwardly hand him back the flowers and he gives me the card with a big grin. I start to open the envelope, but get a paper cut in the process. Greg chuckles, but I shoot him a look that could kill. The card has a naked mole rat on it and it says "Happy Birthday Grandma!" There's also something in the card.

"YOU GOT ME A MCDONALDS GIFT CARD!?" I scream.

"Obviously." he says blandly.

"I love you so much you don't even know!" I say giving him a kiss on the cheek. He grabs my head and goes in for a kiss, but he ends up licking my cheek. That's typical Greg for ya.
