I just lay on my bed and play the song over and over again. The music is so beautiful, even without words. I need to know the genius who wrote this. My phone beeps, it's a text from Greg!

From: Greg:

Hey! I have a surprise for you!

From: Me:

A PONY?!?!?!?

From: Greg:

No... Go to your window ;)

Oh my god. Oh my god. Greg is here? I can't believe it! I haven't seen him in four months and now he's here! I throw my phone and run to my window. I immediately look down, but he's not there. I look left and right, but I don't see him. I run down my stairs and out the back door. I search my front and back yard while calling his name, but he never comes.

I go back inside and hear something coming from the kitchen. I assume karate position and practice my moved before slowly and quietly peering into the kitchen. It's just my older brother putting something on the counter. I guess he got home while I was outside. He hears me walk into the kitchen and grins devilishly at me.

"Wut?" I ask.

"Art thou hungry?" He says

"Yaas always." I reply, now intrigued.

"Doth thou want McD-" he starts, but I run and hug his before he can finish.

I take my happy meal and chocolate chip frappe and leave the kitchen. Then remembering how Greg stood me up. I go upstairs defeated and check my phone on my bed. I see that I have one new message.

From: Greg:

Lol jk I'm not there.

I slid my phone under my pillow and lay on my bed. I don't know why I'm so upset usually I find his jokes funny, but not this time. I just miss him so much. I hear a ringing from my computer. Greg wants to Skype me. I hit accept and sniff hoping he doesn't hear.

"Hey Mel!" He says cheerily.

"Hey!" I respond, my voice cracking.

"Nice tunes what is it?" He asks. I've had those chords on the whole time! I scramble to shut them off.

"It was nothing hahahahahahahahaha." I say brushing of the question.

"Are you okay, you're acting weird?" He says.

"I'm fine, I'm great. Never better. Look, uh, I gotta go and do some, uh, homework. Bye!" I wave and close my laptop before he can protest.
