I peer out from behind the curtain and see Greg charming some of his old teachers. Everybody loves Greg. I'm shaking a bit from nerves and I try breathing slowly to calm myself down. This is Greg's last night in town and i can't even give him a proper goodbye since I have to go to the cast party right after the show.

We have spent the past week living at McDonald's. It's really bad actually. The workers know my name and order and have perfected the art of making it down to a minute. Ily McDonald's<3

Corn comes up behind me. "Are you ready my daughter?"

"Yes Madame Giry." I say pretending to be scared.

"You'll do great tonight!" she says breaking character. "Just remember the extra shanay and you'll be fine! Break a leg Squeak."

"Break a leg!" I say as she walks away.

The pit tunes itself and the lights dim.. Carlotta walks onstage and when we hear our cue we all come on dancing and singing. The show goes with no problems at all which is great! Paige was an amazing Christine.

We all run offstage and change out of our costumes so excited. When we leave the gym which serves as backstage and our costume room and everything in between we see our friends and family. I see Corn talking to her mom and brother. I pass by them and Mikie grabs my arm.

"Great job." He says and I nod in response.

I'm walking down the hallway looking for Greg when I'm swept off my feet and spun around.

"You were incredible! Meg Giry stole the show!" Greg says.

"Thank you!" I look up at him. "I'm so sorry that this has to be goodbye." My tears threaten to spill over, but I blink them back.

"Don't worry it's not like I'm dying. We'll see each other soon enough. I promise ok?"

"Alright." I say.

"Now get outta here and party like it's 1999!" Greg hugs me and gives me a small kiss on my forehead.

I run to meet Corn in the parking lot. I almost get hit by a car on my way to her. It's Emma who yells "whoopsies" out her window. God I hate her. Emily and I go into the backseat of her moms car.

"Thank you for driving me." I say.

"Not a problem sweetie." She replies.

"Sweetie?" Corn says chuckling.
