Amber's POV:

   "Lachlan, I don't want to." I said to my older 'brother'.

"You'll love them and they'll love you. PLEASE???" He begged like a little boy on Christmas.

"Fine." I said. What did I just get myself into? He pulled me into a hug. I'm kind of surprised I haven't met them yet. The only one I've met is Rob. Lachlan and I have been close ever since my mom died when I was fourteen. I moved in with his family at that age as well. Lachlan and I aren't really related, we've just been best friends since we were little.

~~TIME SKIP~~

Lachlan and I walked into the airport. Apparently we're going to Canada on a ski trip.

"Lachy?" I asked, holding his hand, okay, yeah I have a small crush on Lachlan.

"Yeah?" He asked back.

"What are your friends like?" I asked.

"They're really funny, nice and smart, well, two of them." Lachlan said. "Are you okay?" He asked.

~~FLASHBACK~~

"MUM!?" I yelled as I walked into the house. Something was wrong.

"GO TO LACHLAN'S!" My Mum yelled.

"Mum, what's wrong?" I asked running upstairs, towards her room.

"I said go to Lachlan's." She told me. tears started running down my face. I knew what was happening.

"Mum, please stop. Mum I need you. Please don't hurt yourself." I said. my voice cracking.

"I love you Amber. Please go to Lachlan's."

"I love you to mum. Please stop. Mum I need you." I yelled running into the bathroom. She was on the floor.

"Go." she whispered. "Remember that I love you." were her last words. I fell to the floor crying. I was alone now. I had no one.

"I love you too. please come back." I screamed.

"Amber!" YOU LEFT THE DOOR OPEN!! WHAT'S WRONG?" Lachlan yelled. I physically couldn't move. I heard him come up the stairs.

"Lachlan, don't come in here!" I yelled.

I forced my self up and ran out the bathroom door and to Lachlan's strong arms. I needed him more than anything. He is the only thing left for me. He hugged me tightly back, knowing what had happened. I knew she was going to give up eventually. She didn't want me her when it happened.

"She's gone Lachlan." I whispered, barely audible.

"It's gonna be okay, I promise." He whispered.

"How." I barely got out.

~~FLASHBACK OVER~~

"Amber." Lachlan basically yelled at me. he wiped away tears I didn't even know fell.

"Yeah." I whispered.

"It's okay." He said, pulling me into a hug.

"But it's not Lachy. I haven't ever been fully okay." I cried out.

"Tell me what's wrong please." He said.

"Flashback of that day Lachlan. It's been almost seven years Lachy." I whispered.

"I know." He whispered rubbing circles on my back.

~TIME SKIP~

"LACHLAN!" I heard a group of people yell.

"AMBER!" I heard Rob yell.

"ROB!" I yelled running up to him and hugging him. 

"Amber, this is Mitch and his girlfriend Jess, Jerome and his girlfriend Louise, you already know Rob. Preston and his girlfriend Paige, and Vik." Lachlan introduced. "And guys, this is my little sister Amber." he said.

"Hi!" I said.

"Hello" they all said.

~TIME SKIP, AGAIN~

"COME ON LACHLAN!!! YOU TAKE FOREVERRRR" I complained.

"Is he like this back in Australia too?" Vik asked.

"Yes." I said.

"STOP TALKING ABOUT ME!" Lachlan yelled. Vik and I laughed.

"We thought it was just when he was with us." Mitch said.

"You guys aren't nice." Lachlan pouted, opening the door. The four of us laughed. 

"But you love us." I teased. He laughed and agreed.

~TIME SKIP~

Once we got to where we were skiing, we headed to the top of the slope. I slid out not to far down the trail, and hurt my wrist.

"You okay?" Vik asked. Lachlan was farther ahead.

"My wrist hurts, but I'll be fine." I said. He extended his hand. I took it and he helped me up. "Thanks." I said.

"Your welcome." He said. Why does Vik have to be cute, kind, smart, and such a gentleman. He's so... Perfect? yeah, perfect. "Amber." Vik said

"Yeah," I said.

"You were staring." He said. oops.

"Sorry." I said blushing.

"It's fine." He said. We continued to ski down the mountain.

"Vik!!!" I yelled as I wiped out again.

"Are you okay?" He asked. He extended his hand for me again.

"I'm fine. And thanks again." I said giggling a bit. He laughed with me. "I really I like Vik."

"You like me?" He asked. I said that out loud? Oops.

"Yeah." I said blushing. He pulled me in for a kiss.

"I like you too." He said. "Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

"I'd be more than happy to be your girlfriend Vik." I said, and kissed him again.
