Tyler took a seat by me, my fingers typing away on my new phone. He poured us some cereal, I giggled at that."What's so funny?" He munched on his Froot Loops, it was a precious sight, him curled up in his oversized Adidas jacket.
"Nothing. Thanks for cooking up such a wonderful meal." I beamed with a laugh.
"We gotta work with what we got hun." He shrugged as Josh joined us, Oreos instead. Proving Tyler right.
"Can I have one?" I held my hands out as Josh frowned.
"Fineeee. Only because you're my best fren's daughter." He plucked out an Oreo and handed me one, I dunked it in my cereal's milk.
"Dad? What's that tattoo supposed to be?" I asked curiously, the black lines and rectangular boxes marking his skin.
He'd explained how one was a cross, and his religion and beliefs. Tyler told me bible stories, I didn't know if I necessarily believed in a god, but listened for him anyways.
It was a weird thing to start thinking about at only twelve, but with what I've been through, faith didn't come easy.
He played with my hair as I traced his tattoos, he was telling me the story of David and Goliath. How he knew I was small, but could overcome anything I put my mind to.
My hands clutched his black sweater tightly, as he explained these stories. "Hey Dad?" I traced his arm with my fingertips nervously, not daring to look up at him.
"What, baby?"
"What if–would you be mad if I didn't believe in God in the past?"
"Oh babydoll, I'd like to ask why? But I won't push anything on you if you choose to still not believe." He assured me with a pat on the back.
"Well because, I don't know. Jesus wouldn't let bad things happen to me right? I think it's just not fair how he is very mean to good people."
"Our god works in mysterious ways my love. And he puts us all through obstacles, some worse than others. But I can assure you, you'll have a good life if you make the best out of it." He smiled.
"Okay Papa." I nodded, understanding where he was coming from.
"But it's up to you if you wanna be with God for eternity. I couldn't imagine heaven without an angel like you, Lils." He ruffled my hair and cooed, I'd felt a warm feeling spread throughout my stomach.
"Awh, stop you."
"I mean it. Now how about we practice some piano?" He offered.

"Oh Lil-lyyyy?" Brendon sang out tauntingly. We were in the middle of a game of hide and seek as my Dad and Josh were on stage.
I muffled my nervous breathing as he neared the storage closet, his footsteps stomping closer.
"Gotcha!" He switched on the light and picked me up, only to set me down and tickle me.
"Brendon stop!" I was out of breath from giggling so much, as my other favorite person came in the room. Dallon.
"Dal Pal!" I jumped around excitedly as Brendon had just as much energy as me.
"Geez Bren, how many red bulls did you give the girl?" He sat down to read from a magazine. I noticed the whole Panic! band was on the cover. Well, Brendon was on the cover.
"None, she's just a little ray of sunshine." He laughed and went to typing on his phone.
"Hey Dallon, what're you up to?" I asked and took a seat next to him.
"I'm just ignoring an annoying kid, what about you?" He teased.
I stared at the magazine, he flipped to a page with him on it. "Dallon you're in a magazine."
"Really, I didn't notice?" He flipped to the next page.
"Okay Mister, I'll leave you alone. Brendon's better anyways." I joked and crawled over to him, he always paid attention to me. I didn't blame Dallon though, he said he already had two annoying kids that he loved.
"Hey Brendon, how do you sing so good?" I beamed up at him.
"What do you want kid?" He sighed.
"A candy bar from the vending machine?" I fluttered my eyelashes up at him.
"Okay, okay." He got up get me one, getting a kit-kat for himself. "You're not too hard to please." He shrugged.
"Yep, now give me your sunglasses and we'll call it good." I joked. "No but really, those are some cool shades."
"Thanks darlin." He seemed to be a very showy guy, but not in a bad way. Brendon certainly wasn't tacky about it, but wore expensive leather jeans, sparkly suits, silver rings.
"So your birthday is coming up. It's a little early but, what're you thinking you want?" He asked kindly as we drew with colored pencils in my sketchbook.
"I was thinking I wanted, oh one of these." My hands reached for my phone, showing a picture of a camera that pushed out pictures. "It's a... I forgot what they're called."
"Oh Polaroids." He chuckled. "God you're making me feel old." Brendon stared at the picture, it showed an array of colorful cameras, yellow, pink, white, blue. Certainly not old, as Polaroids were still modern.
"Yeah, I think a pink one would be cute. For physical photos, of like different states we're in. Memories, ya know?"
"Oh I know." He grinned mischievously. What was crazy old Brendon on about now?
"What?"
"Memories, where'd you go, you were all I've ever known!" He screamed from the top of his lungs like an actual man-child.
"You goofus." I smiled.
"You didn't like my serenade?" He stuck a lip out in a pout.
"I like your glasses remember?" I joked.
"You're mean." He fake frowned,
"You're a nerd." I grabbed his glasses and placed them on my nose.
"Ah but you love me." He sighed.
"Okay Brendon, I guess." He brought me into a tight hug. Taking my breaths away with every squeeze.
Tour was pretty fun.
