I'd managed to get a dress in the mail from several companies, with a gold necklace to keep after. I squealed when the package showed a simple white lace dress, bold blue pumps, and an array of different makeup products. Even though a professional would help me with that.We currently stayed in a dressing room at a shop in downtown LA. My dad was getting dressed, we'd get makeup done, and head for the carpet for photos.
"Hey Joshua?" I straightened out my dress as I saw him with his suit bag in hand.
"Yes darlin?" He smiled back.
"Do I look okay?" I tugged at my collar.
"Of course." He gave my shoulder a pat as none other than my dad came out in a blue suit, similar to my shoes.
"Oh Lily! You look so beautiful my dear." He rushed over and wrapped me in a tight hug as I groaned.
"Dad? You didn't tell me you were going to wear a bright blue suit!" I looked down at my matching shoes, and blue hair pin.
"Well aren't we going together as one big family?" He chuckled as Josh went out to go change. Oh great, he came back with a blue suit also. Not to mention blue hair.
"This is so... awkward." I sat down in the makeup chair, awaiting the artist.
Tyler leaned over, placing his chin on my shoulder. "Hey, I think it's adorable that we're all matching. And your outfit looked so fantastic, that it inspired me." He giggled.
Oh I couldn't stay mad at him, as he gave my cheek a kiss. "I'm not embarrassed or anything. It's just, I want to be seen as somebody different. Not just, Tyler Joseph's daughter." I sighed, by him making us wear the same color, it looked like we were connected by the hip. "I need to be a little independent, right Dad?" I looked up at him with sad eyes.
"Someday my love. But you'll always be my little girl, no matter how old you grow. And I don't want Hollywood to tell you to grow up so fast. So enjoy being a kid while you can."
I nodded as two artists burst in, one immediately setting down her bag and plugging in her hair curler.
"Alright I'm Cassie and I'll be doing your makeup first, then hair." She smiled as Dad introduced himself, Josh not enjoying the treatment we were getting.
He silently chewed his gum as another stylist ran her fingers through his hair. Tyler's was styled up, his hair looked really nice as he grew it out.
"And this is your little one?" A stylist clapped her hands together at me.
"Yep. It'll be hard to make that one anymore beautiful, but I'll let you try." He laughed as I blushed.
"Oh you two look so close. Well I'll just add a little bit of makeup sweetie." She smiled and ran a pink makeup sponge over my face.
After that, she'd curled my hair into long black curls, pinning back sections with the blue clip. Sarah had texted me, asking how I liked my outfit.
I sent a simple picture of my jewelry and nails, saying thanks for the help she'd offered.
As soon as we were finished, I ran out to the long black limo. Josh shyly crossed his legs, as I smiled and looked around proudly.
"I never want to go back to Columbus." I grinned and stared out at the tall buildings, absolutely star struck by the famous people casually walking the streets.
"Lucky for you I just moved here to LA. You can come visit uncle Josh anytime you want." He smiled and placed a hand on my knee. I turned to Tyler.
"Hey Dad? Why don't we move to LA?"
"I don't know baby. Probably because our family is bigger than just Josh, and I want you to continue to grow up in a safer environment." He shrugged.
"Oh, I see." I nodded, looking at the way overpriced apartments.
We arrived at the giant venue, a carpet rolled out for miles. As soon as we stepped out, people came to take pictures of us. Not so much a swarm, they saved their pictures for more important people like the Kardashians. Lord I could not stand Hollywood and making dumb people famous.
"Tyler, over here!" Someone yelled as he smiled shyly and waved.
"Josh, Lily!" Someone shot a photo of me as I grabbed Josh's hand, he was closer to me than Dad, and he lead me to the actual carpet with the show's sponsors in the background.
Tyler took ahold of me again, smiling and pulling me in front of him for the photos.
"Hey! Chelsea from HollywireTV, can I get an interview with Twenty One Pilots?" She smiled kindly as I took that as my cue, and walked out of shot of the giant camera taking up the carpet.
I waved off to Tyler and felt oddly out of place, but smiling because the cameras where on me.
Walking completely off the carpet, I found an exclusive guests only snack table, and helped myself.
I saw a couple teens, all outcasts from the bleach-blonde teens I'd seen on the carpet today. Some of them had black hair, leather jackets, black attire for the LA heat.
They gazed at me curiously, I simply pulled out my phone and scrolled mindlessly while eating my cookie, and they made their way over to me.
"Hey, you're Tyler Joseph's kid." A kid with a Blink-182 shirt spoke.
"Yes I am." I smiled at them.
"Lily, cool, I'm Jack Hoppus." One introduced himself as, and stuck out his hand.
"And I'm Jakob Armstrong." Another boy that seemed older waved.
"Louis Healy." He had an accent.
"Nice to meet you all." I smiled.

After our interview, I looked around for Lily. Oh god. The camera man forced her to move out of shot, and now she's lost.
I couldn't lose my daughter at an award show. Everyone here was an adult, I panicked.
"Josh! Did you see where Lily went?" I tried to keep my cool, I knew cameras where still on us.
"Relax, she's probably just sitting down somewhere. Text her." Josh calmed me down.
I texted her. No answer. Then I called her, freaking out. Nobody picked up.
