We were still in LA, Dad and Mom had flown down for some award show, I wasn't exactly invited.

"Josh, you really trust me here, alone, all day?" I asked.

"I do. I mean, you've dropped those annoying girl friends of yours. You and Jack never trash my place, even though your Dad wants nobody over. So just, watch TV, um, you can practice on my drums."

"Okay." I sighed, slumping back into the couch. I didn't even know what to do for fun nowadays. Usually I played my several instruments for fun, but Josh's had none, and had neighbors next door. His drums were electronic and had headphones.

Josh answered his phone, as Dad came in. "Be good okay?" He seemed worried, kissing my hair gently.

"Hey um, Lils?" Josh handed me the phone, I spoke into it confused.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Lily, uh me and the wife have a date planned tonight, and well, our usual babysitter is out of town. Can you, maybe take the kids for a few hours? I'll pay you, there's food in the fridge, they're well-behaved kids, I promise." He rambled.

He really trusted me too? With his children? I swore the last time he saw me was almost two years ago, at a party months after tour. "Okay, yeah sure, no problem."

"Great, I knew I could count on you. Well I'll see you in an hour."

"Yeah, see you then."

"Okay kiddo, I know you've babysat Mercy before, but you sure you can do this?" He may have underestimated me.

"Of course Dad. His kids are out of diapers, that's all I need to know." I joked, he smiled nervously.

"Okay. He's trusting you." He told me, I nodded. Soon he was driving me, I didn't have my usual bookbag of toys and children's books, those were in Ohio. Instead I had my backpack purse, with snacks and my phone charger.

Dad pulled up in the driveway, walking me to the door.

"Maybe you can make money by being a babysitter this summer!" He joked before ringing the doorbell.

I gave him a look, youtube made more than the tiny amount I'd make babysitting. And I don't think it'd be appropriate for me to get an actual job. I've been turned down by a frozen yogurt shop for being a 'distraction'. Yeah I was a huge deal in my hometown.

I don't see why people would be so interested in coming to my job just to say hi to me, I was working and couldn't really take pictures or talk with fans of my father.

"Lily, hi!" The old friend had stopped me out of my thoughts. "Tyler."

"Hi." I'd seen his kids pop out shyly from behind his legs. "And who might you two be?" I bent down as his daughter squealed, I'd forgotten their names, they were practically babies when I'd seen them on tour years ago.

"Amelie." She spoke as her brother nodded, saying 'Knox'.

"Well come on in." He motioned us in, I nodded and stepped in, noticing his nice-sized living room, and house in general. Their place was on the outskirts of Los Angeles, in a nice neighborhood.

I took a seat on his couch timidly, his son crawling up and setting down in my lap comfortably. His daughter was more shy, and took another couch to look at me.
