Chapter 6
A few days later...
Riker POV
I'd gone about 2 days now without food. I had a little bit of water left. I just kept refilling my water bottle in the park bathroom sinks. But I wasn't feeling so great.
My car was almost out of gas, so I'm pretty much stuck here unless I want to walk. And I've been out of money for a few days now.
I can't turn my car on, otherwise I'll use gas. And I've been freezing. April is a cold month!
It was getting to the point where I was beginning to make myself sick from not eating. I've had to open the car door a few times to throw up almost nothing. There's literally nothing in my stomach except a little bit of water.
It felt like I was dying, and I was scared I actually was, so I decided I needed to walk home, and go try to convince dad to let me stay.
So I put on my sweatshirt, locked my car, and started walking. I felt extremely dizzy, but I made it there in one piece.
I knocked on the door, but I suddenly got very dizzy, and fell to my knees.
The door opened, and I saw a very unhappy dad.
"What do you think you're doing here?" Dad asked.
"I need to come home. Please let me in," I said, starting to feel nauseous again.
"Riker, I told you that if you walked out this door, I wasn't letting you walk back in. And you broke your contract. R5 was supposed to perform, but we had to cancel because of you."
"I'm sorry! I made a mistake! Please can I come back and live here!?"
"No. I'm sorry, Riker. But these are the consequences of your actions."
Dad shut the door, and I broke into tears.
A few seconds later, the door few open, and Rydel was by my side.
"Riker, are you ok!?"
"No... I'm going to throw up again," I said, quietly.
I started throwing up in the grass, but barely anything was coming out. There's almost nothing in my stomach.
Rydel was rubbing my back, but it wasn't really making me feel any better.
"Aw, Rik..."
I finished throwing up, and stood up straight.
"Riker, you look awful."
"Thanks..."
"No. Riker, you look really sick."
"Well I haven't really eaten in a few days..."
"Come on. I'm taking you to get some food. Go wait by my car. Let me just go get my keys, ok?"
I nodded, and made my way over to her car. My legs were shaking. I felt so weak.
Rydel came back a few minutes later, and she'd brought me a warmer jacket. I quickly put it on, and got in her car. I curled up in my seat, finally starting to warm up after a bunch of long, freezing cold days.
"Where do you want to go? What do you want to eat?" Rydel asked.
"I don't know... I feel sick," I whispered.
"Alright... Do you think you'd throw up if you ate?"
"Probably... I've been throwing up for a few days..."
