Eric's POV
Alice and Julianna just left to talk to Miss Lydia.
My cute little niece and my cute little crush walked away from me. Now I'm left with Jeb.
Hooo boy. This is gonna be interesting.
"You're really crazy about Jul, aren't you?" Jeb inquired.
"I'm that obvious?" I asked sarcastically. "Yeah. I am. Who wouldn't be? She's sweet and funny and gorgeous and the list just keeps going on and on." I rambled.
"Okay, first of all, shut up, you mushy puddle of sap and goo." Jeb moaned.
"And second?" I asked.
"And second," he continued. "If you want something, you go get it. Hint, hint." he nudged me.
I got up to 'get' her.
"WAIT!" Jeb said and grabbed my arm.
"WHAT NOW?!" I whined.
"You have to be careful. If you date too soon, she might not be ready, if it's too late, she might get bored with you, if you break her heart, A) I'll have to break you, and B) she could react badly." Jeb warned me.
"Wow. I didn't know it was that complex. So I'm really taking my chances with this one, huh?" I said.
"Yeah. Don't hurt her. I care about her a lot." Jeb said.
He just doesn't know when to shut up about her, does he? That's my future girlfriend he's talking about!
"So do I." I raised one of my dark eyebrows to show my irritation.
"Whoa! Chill. Not like that! how many times do I have to say it??"
"Sorry. I'm just-"
"Overprotective." Jeb finished my sentence. "I get it. It's fine."
I grinned at him. "I gotta go. I have someone I need to talk to." Jeb winked at me.
"Me, too. I'm going to think abut what I'll say for a minute, though." I said.
Jeb pushed the oak doors leading to the hallway open. They shut with a loud 'BAM!"
"Now, what am I gonna say?" I asked myself.
