Eric's POV
I finally figured out what I'm going to say to Julianna! I started bounding through the halls, peeking in every classroom and poking my nose in every room I could find.
Julie has to know this! I'm bursting to tell her, even if Jeb makes fun of me for the rest of my life!
My heart was racing. My breath hitched. I was so nervous I thought I would throw up and that wouldn't make a good impression on Jul at all. I'm pretty sure girls don't like being thrown up on.
I finally spotted her walking down the hallway towards the main room.
"JULIE!!" I yelled to her.
"Eric? Hey! What's going on?" She asked. Gosh she's so innocent.
"I have something really, really important to tell you, but I don't want you to react in a bad way or freak out or get scared or-" she cut me off mid-sentence.
"ERIC!!" She cried. "Just spit it out!!" She grinned at me. "I won't freak out. I promise."
"Alright. Here goes nothing. Julianna, I love you and I want you to know that. I love you even though we're two years apart. I always want you in my life and I always want you there by my side. I know we're young, and I'll probably act like an idiot, but I don't care what people say about us being too young to know what love is or that at our age two years is a huge difference, because I don't wanna hear it." I blurted out. At first she looked shocked. I winced. Too soon? Then her surprised expression turned into a huge sparkling smile.
"I love you, too, Eric."
We paused at that moment. Staring at each other in utter silence. Just looking at the other person's face.
I thought 'oh hey! You know what? Right now would be the perfect time to kiss her!', boy was I wrong.
I leaned in and just as our lips were about to touch...
"Awwwww isn't that sweet!!! My baby brother's in looooove" Jeb came out of a nearby classroom and started cooing and acting giggly and lovesick.
"Perfect timing!" Said Julie sarcastically.
"Couldn't agree more!" I said.
"Sorry guys. I have an innate sense of... Meh I'm gonna stop sounding sophisticated now. What I, trying to say is, I knew where you were Jul, and I knew Eric was looking for you, so I hid in a nearby classroom to make sure Mr. Fuckboi behaves himself." Eric cursed in front of Julianna!!
"Jeb, first if all, don't call me that, 'cause I'm not, second of all, don't curse in front of Julianna, and third, you know I wouldn't ever hurt her, so chillax." I folded my arms and glared at him.
"I'm kidding! Lighten up dude!" Jeb playfully punched me in the shoulder. I just looked at my shoulder and slowly turned my gaze to him, and raised and eyebrow.
"One too many ruined moments, I see." Jeb observed.
"Yeah. No kidding." I sighed.
"Oh, is that right?" Julie said.
"Huh?" I cocked my head in confusion.
Julie grabbed my hand and pulled me into a vacant classroom.
"What're we doing?" I asked, laughing at her a bit.
"I have no idea. I just wanted to get away from Jeb. He's weird." She giggled.
"No kidding. Try living with him." I scoffed.
Jul snickered.
A lightbulb went off in my brain.
"I have an idea." I smirked.
"Ah, and what would that be?" Jul asked.
"We've never had an actual date, have we now?" I casually put an arm around her.
"No... Where is this conversation heading?" Jul inquired.
"Oh, you know, boring old me, wanting to spend some time with you. Maybe... 11:00am at the Paris Café?" I asked.
"Sounds good to me." Julie kissed me on the cheek and I blushed like hell.
"Oh hey! Jeb hasn't popped in on us to make sure I'm not misbehaving!!" I pointed out half-seriously.
Julie let out a soft giggle.
"There's that innocent titter I love." I looked at her.
"Since when are you so poetic?" Jul teased me.
"Since I met you." I said trying to keep a straight face.
"I can't decide whether that's cute and sweet, or cheesy as all get out." Julie tittered.
She leaned her head on my shoulder. I was so nervous I thought she could feel my shaking.
"Calm down. You're shaking." Julie had just confirmed my thoughts. She put her hand on mine to keep me from shaking so much. Dang I was so embarrassed. My cheeks turned 50 shades of red. I put my head on hers.
