Chapter 5 •Tori's POV•
"Nana what did you do while you were up here?" I smiled at my grandmother as she made us some tea.
It was weird to see how Heaven and Earth could be alike in so many ways except, Heaven was way beyond Earth, it was way beyond life.
There was no more hurt, just happiness. I wasn't human anymore and I could accept that, I was an angel; well at least I thought I was.
"You aren't an angel yet sweetie." My nana smiled handing me a cup of tea.
I gasped as I stared at her in shock "How did you know I was thinking that?"
Nana smiled "I've been here for some time, my little Victoria you learn new things. You have powers now; you just need to learn them."
I nodded "Nana what did you mean when you said I wasn't an angel yet."
Nana smiled "I mean you don't have your wings just yet. You need to earn them."
"How do I do that?"
Nana sighed "By being good and helping people, you don't need to worry too much sweetie, you'll earn them but it takes a long time. I haven't even earned mine yet. God gives you challenges that he knows you can complete, by completing those challenges you move one step closer to earning your wings."
I nodded my head “Nana when you said I had powers did you mean like how I can whisper advice to Gabe?”
My nana nodded her head at me “Yes, you can also whisper to people around Gabe if you practice.”
I instantly thought of Olivia when my nana said that, would I be able to see her soon? Would she ever hear my voice? Would Gabe ever open the letter? I was beginning to regret picking Gabe to watch over, I was an idiot, of course I love Gabe but Olivia is our daughter, she comes first I should have-
“Patience my child.” My nana hushed “You’re going to give me a headache. You can still see Olivia.”
I sighed “I know nana but that is only when Gabe finds out about her.”
My nana shook her head “No I mean you can visit her without Gabe being in the same room.”
My jaw dropped, but how was that possible? God said that you could only choose one person to visit and I chose Gabe. “You can see her because she is connected to Gabe, she is his daughter, and she has his blood. Anyone connected to Gabe you can see. You can see Gabe’s mother, Katie and Olivia because they are connected to Gabe. It takes a while to develop the power to do it but if you practice from now you can do it.”
I smiled at my nana gratefully “Thanks nana.” I sighed deeply as I looked at myself. I guess I was stuck as a seventeen year old forever, does that mean when Gabe dies he will be all old? I wouldn’t care he would still be my-
“You can change your age.” I jumped looking at Gabe’s father who stood behind my nana and I.
“You two have really got to stop reading my thoughts.”
My nana chuckled “Until you learn how to block us out there is no stopping us.”
I rolled my eyes before I looked at Gabe’s father, Henry. “What do you mean I can change my age? And you’re back from visiting Gabe, is he okay?”
Henry sighed deeply “Gabe is still fighting off his inner demons. Tori I think you should go see him. Also you can change to any age you would like before you died so you cannot be over seventeen but you could go back to your childhood days and then when you want to return to seventeen you can. Just think about the age you want to be and you will change.”
