Chapter 15 •Tori's POV•
"Please Sylvester I need to speak with God!" I pleaded "I need to speak to him right now!"
Sylvester was one of the most powerful angels in heaven. He was one of the angels who could speak directly to the big man without having to request it. I knew God was a busy man, and I wouldn't have been basically begging Sylvester to let me see him if it weren't important.
I had only had the opportunity to speak with God once, and that was when I died. After that I wasn't allowed to see him without requesting it. It was a huge pain but I knew it was only because God was creating his plans to bring all of the good people to heaven one day.
Sylvester sighed deeply "Victoria you know I can't do that. God is very busy and-" My jaw dropped while I placed my hands on my hips.
"Excuse me but I thought God always made time for people, why am I different?"
"Please Victoria don't make this-" Before Sylvester could even continue his sentence a very powerful voice spoke before us.
"I'll speak with her." I turned around to see a spitting image of God standing before us. It was Jesus no doubt; he had light radiating off of him.
Sylvester frowned "But Jesus what-"
Jesus simply ignored him by smiling at me. "Come with me Victoria, we can take a walk in the garden of Eden."
I took Jesus' hand in my own before I followed him. He led me out towards these huge golden gates. They opened once we stood in front of them and Jesus led me inside. There was a gorgeous garden with trees and bushes filled with different types of fruits.
On instant I remembered my nana telling me stories about the Garden of Eden from the bible. She had told me the story of Adam and Eve, how God had asked them not to eat from the apple tree and they did letting all hell loose.
"Yes this is the place." Jesus responded.
I looked at him with a confused look before realization hit me, he could read my mind of course. "So Adam and Eve really sinned here huh?"
Jesus just smiled "I'm sure that wasn't what you really wanted to ask me."
Nodding my head with a sigh "Yeah, I guess you're right-not that you wouldn't be I mean your Jesus you know everything... anyways I really want to know if I can see my brother Charlie and my daughter Olivia."
Looking down I thought about everything I would miss now that I was dead. "I just miss them so much, I know I left Olivia in good hands and that I can still see her, but I just need to see how Charlie is doing. I know I chose Gabe but I got away to see Evie and that was painful. I was just hoping that I could see him once, without the pain."
Jesus nodded his head thoughtfully. "Listen Victoria, I understand how you feel, I can feel it radiating off of you. Despite having no pain up here I can still feel your emptiness that will never leave not until my father comes again. If I let you see your brother and daughter, do you promise to follow the rules here in heaven?”
“What does that mean?” I replied curiously.
Jesus smiled “It means no escaping to see other people besides Gabe, you chose him. You have to stick by your choice until you master your powers.”
Nodding my head firmly, I agreed and without saying anything Jesus took my hand in his “I want you to focus on Charlie. Close your eyes and think of him. You can’t physically be there with him but you can get a glimpse into his life right this second.”
Smiling I nodded my head “That’s good enough for me; I just want to see how he is doing.” I closed my eyes and focused on my brother.
Soon enough when my eyes were opened I could see my brother sitting down on a couch with Olivia in his arms. There was a bottle in his hands, he was feeding her milk. Looking around the house I noticed that this wasn’t my parents house, Charlie had said he was going to buy a house of his own once he graduated from University.
