Chapter 18 •Time Flies By•
Seven months later
Today was August 27th, it was Livy's first birthday and my mother was going crazy planning a party for her. She was only going to be one, I didn't really see the huge deal besides the fact that she was a year old but my mother obviously thought differently.
My mother and Faith nearly wacked me on the back of my head when I told them that I thought the party should just have close family and friends. Apparently I wasn't able to plan my own daughter's party, which by the way she wouldn't even remember.
I couldn't even remember my own first party, and there was a video. It was crazy to think about how fast the time flew by. Just seven months ago I had found out about Livy and I was getting to know her.
I used to live in a dorm room at school, but that was before I moved in with my mother and got myself a job at Scoopy's, Tori's old workplace. Now I was living in an apartment that I paid for with my own money, Livy lived with me and when I go to work Amber watches over her.
I had passed through my first year of University and still had three more years to go. All I could think about was how glad I was that it was over, but soon school would start back up because September was coming back.
Soon it would be a year since Tori died.
I tried my best not to think about her but sometimes it just hits me, like she is never coming back. Having Livy in my life has made coping with Tori's death easier. Livy is the most precious thing to me, even though having a child is hard especially with school and work as constant obstacles in the way it doesn't matter because at the end of the day she's my little girl, she's the most important thing to me.
When I told my mom and Katie about Olivia it was quite the scene. It was defiantly something...
Holding Olivia in my arms I made sure to lock my car before I made my way up the steps to my mother's house. She had agreed to let me live back home again, I was just worried because I was terrified she wouldn't accept our new houseguest.
It had only been a day since I found about Olivia and I didn't want to hide her from my mom. The last thing I needed was to let her know that I've known about this for a long time.
My mom would no doubt be disappointed in me, I mean I got Tori pregnant while we were still in high school, regardless of graduating or not.
I sucked in a deep breath before I knocked on the door. I waited for a few seconds before the door opened to reveal Katie who looked completely different. She was wearing makeup, that was for sure and her old iCarly t-shirts had defiantly evolved into something more like Aeropostale.
How old was she again?
Katie had the phone pressed up against her ear as she spoke. "Hey Sierra can I call you back? My brother just came home from University. Yeah okay, bye." She hung up the phone before she looked at me "What's with the baby?" She questioned pointing at Olivia.
"Katie it's not nice to point at people." I stated as I walked into the house and closed the door. "Where is mom? She needs to help me get my stuff settled back into my room."
Katie's eyes widened suddenly "Wait, you're staying here for good?"
I nodded "Didn't mom tell you? I'm staying here until I have enough money to get a place of my own."
Katie began to bite her nails as she looked at me. That was something she did whenever she was nervous about something. "Um I may have taken over your room."
