New Beginnings

Chapter 7

I move quickly. I'm gonna hit her. I wanna see her bleed. All I see is red. I knock on her door. Daniel is following me.
"Jessica stop!"
"I'm gonna rearrange her face for you Daniel."
Meryl opens the door with a smile. As soon as she opened the door I sucker punched her to the ground. She was just protecting her face. I was swinging hard and fast. Anywhere I could hit and when Daniel pulled me off she was bleeding. Nose and lips and her face was bruising. I felt accomplished.
"Get your fucking hands off of me Daniel."
He doesn't let go. I turn to him and sucker punch him to the ground too.
"Enjoy your whore Daniel." I spat at both of them.
"Cause this is the last time you'll use me."I walk away its more of a jog. I go inside and grab my purse and keys. I go to my car. I drive to a cafe. I stop and lean my head on the steering wheel. I cry. I cried hard. I'd been used again. He used me 3 years ago too. He said sorry and then we made love and off to "work" he went. I'm a foolish old woman. I'm going to my serenity place. I call Sarah on my way to the airport. Telling her where I'll be at. I make an emergency flight. As soon as the flights over I call a taxi and then I'm off. I go to get out and the driver stops me.
"Could I have an autograph?"
"Sure" I give a quick smile and sign a piece of paper that he gives me. I pay him and he's off.
I unlock the door and walk in. So peaceful. Straight to my room. My first house, I was so proud. After my first movie's pay I bought it. I've been here with the kids before. They loved it. Mainly because they finally saw snow. I was so happy. Watching them run around smiling and giggling. Daniel running in with the boys Rue and Cadence following. I don't regret what I did today and if your were me you wouldn't either. Would you? Maybe. I don't care. I love him. I do. But I need my time to recover. Or do I? Of course I do I'm only human. Sometimes I wish I could go back and not push him away.
