New Beginnings

Chapter 10

I wake to the smell of bacon.Feeling refreshed.  I sit up on the bed and yawn. I grab the shirt off the floor and put it on. I walk to the kitchen and smile.
"Good morning darling."
"Good morning Dylan."
I sit down in one of the kitchen chairs. He brings me a plate.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome." He goes back to the stove. I walk to him and give him a kiss, he turns the kiss into a passionate needy one. He picks me up and sets me on the counter. I'm running my hands through his hair. I break the kiss panting.
"I know I barely know you but I think I love you."
It was in those moments that I knew Danny was out the window. Oh god. This will never work. He'll find someone better. I just know it.
"This can't work." I say in a horsed voice.
"Yes it will I can take care of you."
"You'll find someone better."
"All I want is you." I sigh running my hand through my hair. I kiss him once more.
"I gotta go home and get my own clothes." I don't wanna go. What if this is all a dream? I wake up and nothing happens?
"I'll take you."
"Okay."
"I'm gonna walk outside for a sec."
"Okay. Take your time." He smiles his gorgeous smile.
I walk outside. I can't do this. I can't I,I,I'm too old if he leaves it will kill me.
I decide to call Danny.
"Hello?"
"Daniel it's Jessica."
"I know."
"I think I'm done this time."
"Okay." I hear someone talking in the background. Meryl.
"Daniel I'm sending you the papers, I,I can't."
"Okay, Meryl yes fuck right there." He groans and I fall apart.
"They will be sent asap."
"Bye."
I walk back inside.
"I'm ready to go." He walks to me.
"What's wrong?"
"Daniel." I sob. He embraces me and kisses my head.
"It's okay baby. Lets go get you some clothes."
"Okay." I sniffle.

"Babe, I love this cabin."
"This was my first home." I smile and continue getting clothes. I look at the bed. Danny. Danny. Danny. Stop it Jessie you're not in love with him. Yes I am no I'm not. When will this internal battle stop!?
