❄⛄Lara Hills ⛄❄

I arrived at the Christmas dance in my dress, but without a date. The room looked so cool. It was covered in white snowflakes, with silver glitter, and sparkling snow on the floor. There was mistletoe dotted around the room, but it didnt look like I was going to be using that anytime soon. Ever stood up on stage and addressed the crowd.

"Hello, and welcome to the Annual Christmas Ball! This isn't Cinderella, so any Pumpkins parked outside will be disposed of, so just enjoy the party!' I didn't know why she decided to mention Cinderella but it was pretty coincidental seeing as I was playing Cinderella in the class Drama. Me and my friends played some songs on stage to get everybody dancing.

I went to get a drink when I turned around to see George's friends pushing him over.

"Hey uh Lara… I was talking to my friends… who all have dates… and I don't… and we noticed that you don't seem to either...... so as friends… would you like to dance?" he asked slightly awkwardly.

"Of course." I said smiling and he took my hand and we walked onto the dance floor. Ever, Megan, James and Alex were still left playing onstage. I danced to a few songs with George before Megan and Alex came down to dance, which left Ever and James to keep playing. They managed a few songs before tiring, and Ever put on a disc of recorded songs.

"Oh no Ever is coming." George said and he dragged me into a corner.

"Umm ow?" I said as he pulled me along by my right arm which had my cast on it.

"Oh sorry. Did that hurt?" He asked concerned. But I just laughed.

"What?" he asked. I pointed up and he looked up to see some mistletoe hanging above us.

"I knew it was a good idea hanging up that mistletoe!' He said smiling. I just laughed again.

We edged closer and our lips touched. We were kissing for about 10 seconds. It felt even better than the dream kiss.

"Anyway uh," George said stepping away.

"I should probably go… find my friends… probably wondering where I am… uh see you later?" he asked.

"Yeh sure..." I said a smile tugging at the corner of my mouth. He ran away back over to his friends, so I went over to mine.

***END OF DANCE***

I helped to clear up at the end after everyone had gone and it was a but of a mess.

We had to go round with bin bags, picking up cans, wrappers and torn down decorations. We took down the hanging mistletoe and icicle lights, the snowflakes and silver glitter. We swept up the snow from off the floor.

When everything was cleared we all left, I waved goodbye to my friends and started to walk home, it wasn't far.

On my way out I saw George so I waved and smiled, because we had danced earlier that night, he smiled and waved back.

***NEXT DAY***

I walked into school to be greeted by Megan.

Today was the last day before we left for the Christmas holidays. Today was our half day, we loved half days, it meant we only had half the amount of time at school.

If the teachers were nice we usually did something fun for our last lessons before the new year.

"Hey Lara!" Megan chirped.

"Hey Megan!" I replied.

"Ooh you sound happy," she said.

"Yep," I said back.
