Lost In Love

Chapter XXXIII

Lara

I was sitting in the park when my phone rang. It was Alex.

"Lara. Thank god. I didn't know who else to call. And I knew you and Megan had always been close. Like sisters." He said panicky.

"Alex. Hang on what's going on?" I asked concerned.

"Lara. Come to the hospital. Now." He hung up and I picked up my things. I did as he said and went to the hospital. As I walked through the door I saw the Joseph boy again. Luckily he didn't know me.

"Hey wait." He shouted. I turned around and he ran up behind me.

"What." I said.

"Why are you here." He asked.

"None of your business." I replied.

"But you are missing the big question. The BIG question." He said.

"Whats that?" I asked.

"Will you get a coffee with me?" He asked.

"No." I said and turned to walk away.

"Hey wait." He shouted again.

"Why?!" I replied, a little frustrated.

"Because life is short. And you are hot." He said cheekily.

"Leave me alone." I said. I turned around and walked away. I followed Alex's directions and found him and Megan. She was lying in a hospital bed.

"What happened?" I asked Alex.

"I don't know, one minute we were running around the park, the next I knew I was calling her name. I found her by the pond, collapsed on the floor. She must have fainted or something." He said watching Megan whilst he told me.

"But what made her faint?'"I asked concerned. He suddenly had a guilty look on his face.

"I have to move away... to Scotland. So I told her we had to break up." He said slowly and quietly.

"Oh Alex!" I complained. I sat in the chair next to her bed and felt her hand. She was stone cold.

"She's freezing." I said to Alex. I was going to sit by Megan's bed side until she woke up...

Megan woke up.

"What happened." She asked confused. Alex explained about finding her collapsed by the pond. I checked my phone to see a text from George.

"Hey babe :* meet me in town, okay?" I put my phone away. Alex hugged Megan, and so did I. I told her I had to leave and started walking. Town wasn't far from the hospital. I walked down the hallway before coming face to face with Joseph again.

"How about that drink eh?" He said again.

"No." I said walking away.

"Why not?" He shouted after me. I turned around.

"#1 I am Ever's friend. #2 I have a boyfriend!" He looked at me in shock as I stormed off.

"Sorry! I didn't know!" I heard him shout behind me. I walked out of the hospital and down the street.

I waited outside the shop I was told to. But there was no sign I George. I felt a tap on my shoulder, someone pulled me round the corner, like at Evers party. We kissed again. We held it for about 10 seconds. George peered over my shoulder.

"Phew. No 6 year old's" he said. Which made me laugh. We walked hand in hand to a coffee shop and we bought both of us a smoothie. We walked down the street before he reminded me about something.
