Nico

Pancakes. Nico knew that smell anywhere.
He sat up and scrambled out of bed, over the moving boxes, and into their new kitchen. There was Percy, in all his chiseled glory, flipping blue pancakes into the air wearing nothing but seahorse boxers. Nico grinned at his silly boyfriend and waited until he set the hot pan down to sneak up behind him and hug him around the waist.
Percy jumped, almost dropping his spatula, and turned to glare playfully over his shoulder at the shorter man. "I could've killed you."
"With a spatula. I'm terrified," Nico deadpanned and Percy stuck his tongue out at him.

Nico released his waist and leaned back against the kitchen island. "Why are you cooking? We could've gone to Waffle House or something."
"But that would mean putting on clothes and talking to people," Percy quoted Nico from when Percy tried to take him out to dinner the night they moved in.
"And that would be a tragedy," Nico quoted Percy back, with the same sarcasm and Percy flipped another pancake in the air.

After they ate, they stretched out on the futon that was their bed until the rest of the furniture got delivered and watched Sherlock on Percy's modified laptop (thanks to the Hephaestus cabin for that).
"Hey," Nico asked as Percy paused it to get up and get snacks ("Because you can't binge watch anything without snacks.") and Percy turned. "What do you think Will's up to?"
Percy still grimaced at the name. "I don't know. Torturing small animals? Setting altars on fire? I don't really think about him, Neeks," Percy finished as he padded off toward the kitchen.
Nico didn't really, either, and he didn't know what brought on the question. Nico hadn't seen Will in the two years since he'd left. It honestly had been good for Nico to put that memory behind him. So what made him bring Will up?
Maybe it was that Moriarty reminded him of Will, which was a horrible thought.
Either way, Nico pushed the thought out of his mind and Percy returned with Swedish Fish and caramel corn, upon Nico's request. "Ready?" Percy asked and Nico snuggled closer to his boyfriend and smiled. "Yeah."
