If you've ever watched or read Alice in Wonderland, you would understand how I feel. I'm just falling through this hole of dreams, visions and weird dimensions. I wasn't sure how long I was falling, I just know I was falling.

As I was falling I just saw visions as to what has happening around me, as if I was still live but nobody saw me. I saw many battles from the past, I wanted to scream out to save someone, but they couldn't hear me. I wanted to yell at them and call them stupid, but I couldn't. It was horrible, to see so many people die, hero's lost in the past. I never thought all these myths were real, I never could have fathomed that Medusa was real, and didn't Perseus kill her? So many thoughts ran through my mind, as I floated down the tunnel.

After maybe days, weeks, months, maybe years, things stopped showing up. Visions became blurry and silly. It became dimmer, and foggy almost. The tunnel got darker and scarier. I had nightmares, bloody, horrific nightmares. Everyone I knew, loved and cared for was dying. Alex, was attacked by hell hounds, and I tried to reach out and help him up, but I passed through him. I couldn't do anything but watch as he was torn apart.

One night, I had no dreams, or rather, I saw no visions, but voices were speaking. Muffled, barley audible, swimming around me. Was I coming to the end of the tunnel? What then? Would I shatter into a million pieces, or just float there for all eternity? I didn't really want to know the answer.

The voices grew louder, more clearer each day, I picked up a few words here and there.

"Is she waking up?"

"Its been five years, and 363 days. Two more."

"Pass me the nectar."

"Don't point that blade at me."

"She'll be mad about her hair."

"When does she turn?"

Good grief, what were they talking about? I started feeling stronger, like I wasn't just a limp body falling through a chasm, but I started waking up from this coma I was in.

I was awakening.

"Tonight. She should be getting up tonight."

"Wait till dawn, if she doesn't get up, tell Zeus he was too late."

"Her temperature is rising, perhaps she will wake up."

"Her hands are cold."

"They always were." Says a very familiar voice.

"Two minuets, thirty three seconds-"

"Shut up!"

I felt it. For the first time in maybe a million years, I felt warmth. Someone was holding my hand. I applied all my mental force to squeeze their hand back, but I couldn't. I heard a yelp, and the warmth was gone.

"She turned my hand to stone!!!"

"What?!"

"Look, its going away, do you think she can-"

"Yes."

Please don't leave, I need someone, I'm sorry, I didn't know. I said in my head.

"Five, four, three, two, one."

It happened just like that, the tunnel ended, and blew up into an eruption of colours. I was sent flying. I let in a sharp breath. I heaved giant puffs of air. Air. When was the last time that ever passed through my lungs? I opened my eyes slowly, clutching my stomach.

"Shes awake!"

"Vera."

I let out a moan, my head is throbbing from the new consumption of oxygen. My vision clears, and five people stand in front of me.

Alex, my mom, some random girl, a satyr ( don't know how I knew that), and a medic. Alex looked older, less scrawny, and much more handsome. My mom had aged, but it was barley noticeable.

"What, happened?" I croaked, my voice out of use.

"It doesn't matter, you're alive!" My mom says tears brimming on her eyes.

Just then something lets out a horrendous screech/ growl.

"Welcome to στρατόπεδο Άρτεμις, Camp Artemis, where we are daily attacked by monsters. I, am Artemis." Says the woman. She pulls an arrow out of her quiver, and runs out.
