I stared down at the silver plate, the first thing that came into my mind was blueberry waffles, and just like that they appeared. My goblet filled with milk. I dove into my pancakes, picking at my nail polish that I don't remember putting on.
"Blueberries are awesome." Someone says behind me. I gulp my food down quickly, and behind me is standing a guy, maybe twenty, hair all over the place, and sea green eyes with a foolish smile.
"Yeah, they are." I say raising my eyebrows. The guy sits beside me.
"You new?" He asks.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that."
"Wait you re that girl who everyone talks about, killed a gorgon or something?" He says.
"No, a gorgon killed me." I said sipping my milk.
"What?" he asks confused.
"Long story." I say.
"Jackson, get back to your table." Growls Artemis.
"See you later." He says. I smile slightly and turn back to my food.
Jackson. Sounds oddly familiar.
After Artemis explains the day schedule, Alex taps on my shoulder.
"Come on, we'll go get you a weapon, and I have someone here to help you." He says. We walk up to a really tough looking blonde, with grey eyes.
"Hi, I'm Anabeth, you're Vera?" She asks smiling.
"Yeah." I say.
"Good, come with me, I'll help you pick out a weapon. I couldn't help but to notice you met my boyfriend Percy?" She asks.
"Yeah, the guy who likes blue?" I say laughing. She laughs too.
"Yeah." She says smiling, I could tell they are really strong. We walked up to a small temple looking building, but once you walk in, its battle paradise. Bows and arrows, daggers, swords, knives, spears and a bunch of other things. My brain hurt.
"Have you ever used a weapon?" She asked.
"A dagger." I reply.
"Did you enjoy it, was it comfortable?"
"I honestly don't remember." I say.
"That's alright, we can try that out now, here use this one." She says passing me a bronze dagger. I held it up, twirled it in my hand, balanced it, but it didn't feel right.
"You don't need to say anything, that does not suit you, maybe try a sword?" She says, passing me a sword. My arm drops right away.
"No no no no." She says, putting it back.
"Can I just brows?" I ask.
"Sure." She says, sitting on a crate. I walk around, picking up a few weapons but putting them away. The last part of the temple was bows. I had to find something here. The first bow that appealed to me was a silver bow, with opals in-crested on the side. The arrows that went with it were silver, and white feathers. I pick it up, it was so light and beautiful. I go into archer position. It stretches perfectly. A dummy stands in the corner, I pull out an arrow, and pull it back. I let it go, it's precision is great and hits the dummy straight in the forehead. Anabeth and Alex gasp.
"I think I like this one." I say. I walk up to the dummy and pull out the arrow, placing it back into the quiver.
"That's not any bow, that's Τόξο τwου φεγγαριού. Bow of the Moon, first bow of Artemis."
