I ran to the cabin, and jumped on  the bed and started sobbing. I hate myself. I was this thing that everyone was scared of, and no one wanted to go near me. My hair remained in snake formation, and I think I was suffocating them, because while I was laying face planted into a pillow, they were squirming. I got up and walked up to the big mirror. The  snakes were silver like my hair. They had black eyes, and were oddly beautiful. One of them came close to my face and nudged my cheek. I couldn't help but smile. I petted its head. I wiped off my tears with my jacket, and it reminded me of the coast. I miss the coast so much.

The two people came into the cabin, but stood at the door cautiously.

"I'm not going to kill you."I say bluntly. They awkwardly shuffle over.

"Your next period is cancelled. You have to come with us to speak to Artemis.

"Whats your names?" I say.

"I'm Jason, this is Thalia."

"Ok, lets go." I say.

My hair remains in snakes, but I don't care, I like them. They are my friends, and they're the only ones who will never judge me and will like me for me.

We walk through the camp, across a beautiful bridge, and the "House of Artemis." A giant temple- cabin looking place. The lamps were turquoise and the candles glowed a lavender colour. The outside was very delicate, but the inside was very woodsy, like a cabin up north. Flannel blankets everywhere, wood floor and walls, cozy couches, and animal heads all over the walls.

Artemis, goddess of the hunt.

We sat down in couches, Artemis sat in the one across from us. She was in her "mortal" form. She wore a red flannel shirt, white parka, beige jeans and knee high hunter boots. Her hair was in a long braid.

"Your random out burst was not necessary Vera, you need to control your self, and your hair." She said.

"What? You have a problem with snakes?" I said.

"Don't test my patience Vera, I don't have time. You're leaving tomorrow. Once you get to New York, you'll continue your quest."

"New York?"

"Yes, Camp Artemis is supposed to be a secret camp. We're back up in case of a war. Once you get to New York, you will not speak of this camp understood?"

"Yes." I say, propping my face up with my hand.

"Now, I heard you have my bow. I advise you be careful with it. It does more than use the power of the moon. The arrows regenerate every half an hour of use."

"Ok thanks." I say glumly.

"Now, Jason and Thalia, make sure you keep her safe, monsters are everywhere. Nico will stay here. He and Alex have to deal with-"

"Alex is coming with me." I say.

"Excuse me, my camp, my rules." Says Artemis.

"My friends." I glare.

"I don't care. One illegal demi god is enough to smuggle, two is not right, Chiron nor Dionysus will be happy."

"Why do the monsters want me dead, I DON'T EVEN KNOW MY PROPHECY!" I shout, my snakes hiss and lightning flares.

"Calm down." Says Artemis.

"You have no right to tell me to calm down." I sneer.

"You may be right, but I have to learn to control your emotions, it may cause havoc." She says, her voice completely even. Thalia and Jason exchange looks.

"Artemis, we need Nico on our side, keep Alex here and maybe-"

"Good idea, take Nico, Alex will stay."

Before I could argue, we were out of the building and the bell was ringing. I had Greek and Latin. Ew. Languages.
