Heros

Heros.

Almost everyone has one.

It could be your dad, your mom, your grandma, your grandpa. Anyone really.

My hero is one of my directors who soon became family to me. Let's name him Jack. I think it's safe to say I look up to Jack. He's basically like my older brother. We may not see things the same way and he can be pretty mean, but everything he does is to make me a better person.

He doesn't know it, but he really helps me embrace my sexuality. I'm not saying I'm ready to come out to my family, because who knows what would happen if I did while living in their household. But he made me realize more that if people don't accept me just because I'm bi, then they're not worth keeping around. Luckily, I haven't had to deal with that. Everyone I have come out to has fully accepted me, and I found out a couple of those people were also bi or gay. There was one person who was pretty upset about it, but it wasn't the fact that I was bi that made him upset. He has no problems with people of the lgbt+ community. In fact, his best friend is bi.

Jack has also been making sure I don't give up on my dreams of becoming an actor or singer or an author. He knows how important they are to me and he's constantly there helping me.

If you knew me about five years ago, you would know that I never talked. While I have gotten over most of the shyness I had, there's still some in there that will come out every once in a while. Jack has been trying hard to bring me even more out of my shell. That's something I haven't been able to do on my own. he also, along with everyone else from the cast, has been helping me transition into adulthood, which has been really difficult for me.

However, there are people who don't have a hero and there's nothing wrong with that.

Some people just haven't met that one person that they can look up too. I'll be honest, I was one of those people. I thought heroes were overrated and stupid. I can tell you one thing though, I feel like life is a lot better and happier when you have that one person to call a hero. that one person you can look up to, because it makes you want to become a better person. if not for yourself, then for them.

It's always good to have someone who will push you forward and make you a better version of yourself instead of someone who will take you in the opposite direction of where you want to be.

So please, find that person.
